European stocks rose slightly in premarket trading on Tuesday as investors continued to focus on the coronavirus out break, as well as corporate earnings. HSBC, UBS and Novartis already released their first-quarter results, while BP is also set to report before the bell.
The FTSE 100 rose 0.18% at 7:58 am CET, the DAX gained 0.06% at 8:00 am CET and the CAC 40 added 0.07% at the same time.
The euro was down 0.04% against the dollar, going for 1.08248 at 7:59 am CET and the pound lost 0.07% compared to the greenback to sell for 1.24222 at the same time.
