South Africa's decision to stop the rollout of the AZ-Oxford vaccine could be replicated by other African countries. The Africa Center for Disease Control and Preparation (ACDCP) has asked other countries in the continent where the South African strain has been found to consider using those vaccines that are effective against this strain.
An advisory by ACDCP, the common organisation governing other African countries on regulatory pathway, said there is limited evidence to conclude that the AZ-Oxford vaccine offers limited protection against severe diseases and death with the new variant.

South Africa has decided to replace the AZ-Oxford/SII vaccines with the Johnson and Johnson (J&J) shot, which has shown 57% efficacy against the new strain.

OMI hit a 5yr high ....40p on Friday...before that JOHN1970 sold his OMI holding ..his largest portfolio holding....it dropped to 37p at 11.30am
I wasn't best pleased...lo!
