Ride momentum in the world's largest high purity stevia ingredients producer - PURE. With the market for the £397.5 Million cap's wares developing rapidly, now could be a sweet time to follow non-exec director Tan Boon Seng and purchase some stock. Last week, Tan Boon Seng snapped up 900k shares paying a fraction over 239p a pop in two tranches. Costing the best part of £2.4mill these purchases were made indirectly through significant shareholder Wang Tak Company. Back in August, Pure raised £20mill through a placing to Wang Tak priced at 200p, a premium to the prevailing market price, in a move which upped Wang Tak's state to 11.7% and saw Tan Boon Seng appointed to the board. Usage of high purity stevia is growing strongly. EU clearance last year opened up the world's largest market for sweetners, while high purity stevia is now approved in almost all the major consumer markets, with clearance in India, Thailand, Canada and South Africa immenent. Alarmed by the rising cost of sugar and high fructose corn syrup the soft drinks industry is beginning to adopt stevia across its brands. Earlier this Autumn, Pure announced two agreements with CocaCola. Although the firm's losses widened in the year to June, total volumes of high purity stevia rose by 26% and the company has already built a reassuringly diversified customer base. Shares says Buy Pure at 241.5p (01st November)
Anyone else read the article in Shares Magazine on Thursday? All very positive.
The reason it would have showed up as a sell is because it is closer to the sell end of the spread - it is still a buy though - just he managed to secure a very good rate within the 'yellow bar'
Yep been keeping my eye on this one - was into it about 18 months ago (might even be 2 years ) at around 5p and always liked it - sold a about even as had other fish to fry - but this news is 'legendary' - lets just see what they can do with it. As I said I'm happy holding for now, its always going to be volatile with such a large spread etc. GLA
I have to agree with StockNBlocks but to quantify - it is all dependent now on how successful the roll out is. If it is very good then we could see somewhere towards 70p-£1 , however it is a big IF, although from my (limited) research I can't see why it shouldn't do well. But you have to remember share prices are forward thinking by atleast 18months - the news has now been factored in - the share has gone up by almost 200% since yesterday, also the buys v sells could be slightly out as the spread is very large and at times you can get very good sell prices in the yellow strip which will actually show on the system as buy. I'm holding - Simple
and secondly I hold a large amount of these shares, and do think its going to do very well - i come here for banter and to see useful links - I don't listen to opinions etc - however some people do, and there was nothing to suggest this was going to break out today from the trading volumes, so to tell novices that you can't buy so its going to fly is either malicious, uniformed, nieve or just irresponsible
i can buy 50k at 9.83p on barclays..... - please don't ramp
only £350k buys versus £165k sells
lol - there was no pump and no dump volume. And it is still 100% up from where I bought last wednesday (week last wed!)
HLS HLS....never knew it could move like that....Kariema Kariema......
i'm here - great potential - bound to retrace slightly - biggest gainer on friday and today.......onwards and upwards
for this board to wake up - been watching for a long time and bought it when it went down 22% on wed, 67% rise on friday and the same again today - only got a very small holding as it looked like it was **** or bust at 5p!! Likely they will have to come out with some news soon - even if it is to talk about the 200% rise in share price in the last 4 days.....
oi bru - u sud africans?
yea he owns 30% - thats why he HAD to make an offer - he's done well, and i don't think he really wanted to own the whole thing tbh
i like your positive sentiments and i have a large holding here, am still in mnr from 14p - but do you actually know what happened with that company............cos i do
no dividend here mate
