Bit early to expect Newmont to “say much”. They’ve given themselves up to 2 years to plan their synergies, which they’ll have publicly noted that so at least we know. ThGs saying something.

Then we see the ABC interview where Tom Palmer spoke highly of Telfer and its strategic value. Which is opposed to the newspapers stating Telfer will be sold.

For me as long as the JV at Havieron continues at full steam ahead captain in order to get to the ore body, they get all mining permissions in place, they finalise the FS and DTM … that’s all we can ask.

If Havieron holds about 20million ounces gold equivalent as it’s been suggested then I’d be surprised to see Newmont sell that. It is becoming harder to find these size deposits, and it has a high copper % too. Why give it up when you have it.

It would be pretty cool if GGP became the hunter !

GGP has been drilling around Havieron and have not found another one. ARV have done same.
