Hi board,

I am down considerably. My investment case hasn't changed and we haven't received any news that would suggest I should review my position.

So what I have I concluded is happening here?

1. Market sentiment on oil dipped. According to various sources it's temporary and Heid's bullish views oil seem supported by these.

2. No institutional investors have dumped their shares in UJO, no Tier 1s, so can assume their position remains unchanged.

3. Volume of PIs in small AIM shares always have disproportionate affect on share price. Just look Egdon.

Unless anyone has any other news I don't have, I can see any other reasons. I think it's a case of PIs moving money on short investment horizons.

Good morning to the usuals.

Here's an alternative narrative for the current share price.

UJO presents the biggest threat to climate activists in the UK, as it is viable with low environmental impact and is profitable. Thus a genuine threat countering the green narrative that oil has to go immediately to reach net targets.

Hence, it's being attacked having been bought into by said activists and slowly sold at a loss to affect share price.

Then, in conjunction with this, board occupied by activists.

DB is quiet figuring out how to combat this covert activism.

Thoughts?

It is hard when you see loss. But responding to day changes, week, month. I didn't invest expecting a quick buck. If you know and understand onshore oil, you're in for the highs and lows. Mostly constant challenges. But, on a high.... It can be life changing.

My portfolio is not only UJO.

BUT, I admit, today I need t&a to make me feel a lot better.

Today is obviously hard to swallow.

However, nothing has fundamentally changed about why I invested in UJO.

The strategy hasn't changed, so my investment sentiment hasn't changed. I still see Ujo as the best exposure in a portfolio to onshore oil.

I don't look at day prices or even monthly. I respond to changes in company strategy and decisions. To date, nothing has changed aside from the share price. Thus, my case still remains. As I said earlier. My horizon is longer term.

Let's see profit and cashflow before I revaluate my position.

Your post reminded me of article I read this morning. Our so is affected by both macro and micro forces and events.

This article talks about the macro force of oil not being an ethical investment currently and why demand for oil isn't being reflected in oilers' share price.

But also of course, I do not account this primarily for our position. It's more the micro issues. But all contributes.

Perhaps, it's reality that is the problem. We have the "blah, blah, blah" zealots, but no sense of reality in implementing their vision.

Green activists are right in that moving to less dependence on fossil fuels is necessary to meet the demands of a growing planet population, but to take radical action as the propose is not realistic in such a short time frame.

How can you sustain our current lifestyles, societies, economies with their proposals. You can't.

So the reality is the problem. They have no realistic solutions. So they go to "blah, blah, blah".

Gas is his vision. Perhaps a rethink on how to extract gas.

50% electric cars run on what source? That's going to put a lot if pressure on electricity supply. Can't see how that can be met by renewable source entirely?

Is the US military going to move to renewable electric energy for its transportation. Unlikely.

Oil is here to stay for at least next 2 decades.
