Didn't think this would drop this low. Wish I had sold and not waited for divi. How much lower is it going.

Hi Chesterdrawers, I have learnt to take absolutely no notice of anything that the fool writes. I note your 600p soon which would be very nice as I am in quite deep and waiting for the divi. However today the fool has written that the divi is not sustainable unless oil hits minimum 60 dollars and he also says the share is risky. I've bought on the back of a few things he has said and generally I lose. GL

There are also a lot of sells going through 50k 13k12 k etc it's a sea off red. Not doing much good for my portfolio but still i will hold on like I do for the divi.

Am I missing something with this share, FTSE up over last week. SP down 80 p since it's high.

I guess the only advantage is that we get more shares when the divi is reinvested for LTH

Seems like lots of good news but a major price correction. Anyone know why it's dropped from over £17 to under £15

Thankyou LordAdam, Very interesting about divi. So I only need to hold the shares for 1 minute. I always thought I had to hold for the whole day. Guess that's why I will never be a millionaire. On the subject of divi, I am holding £50 k off BP for the divi. What's your opinion on these as they have tanked over the last few days. Cheers Paul

It's not about greed, I hold £64500 in GSK, I just don't like to see a sp go down without good reason. I usually hold shares long term and have done very well out of Gsk. I guess sometimes no news is good news

Can't understand why SP has lost over a pound in last few months. Good divi but would have been better of if I had sold. Anyone any idea why it's dropping ??

Thanks for that Pokerchips.I guess I've made the same mistake with BP. Hanging on for the divi but have noticed share price come down. Oh well lost £40K on portfolio since last April, constantly thinking the shares would go back up, what's a few more K. One day I will wake up and put stop losses on.

I also notice that there are several sells and several buys of exactly the same amount, coincidence or something fishy. Perhaps one day f you wiser investors can let me know why.

Still can't get my head round why these shares are being sold when the divi and special divi amounts to approx 39 p on 18 and 19 th Feb. Can anyone help. I have 3500 of these shares and waiting for the divi.

Excuse my ignorance, but I cannot understand why so many are selling GSK when next month sees a divi and a special divi. I'd Q4 23pence and special of 20 pence. Am I missing something here?.

It doesn't matter if it's 4/5 or 6. All I can say to RR is get a grip. Huge order books are one thing, making a profit is another thing. Changing the subject ( sorry) I see the French are getting big orders from Middle East for there fighter jets over the euro fighter with RR engines. Someone not doing there sales job properly

Yes (dividends) but at what cost to the sp. If that stayed above £7.00 things wouldn't look so bad. I just hope this is the last bad news

Hang on to your pants, it's going to nosedive. Profit warning tomorrow. Positive this morning and now the sellers are coming in, it's going to be a rough ride for at least 6 months. Maybe a buy in about 3 months time when it hits its lowest point, but the divi will have to increase to justify the buy. DYOR
