I disagree Daz. If each deal takes a few months to line up because of complicated procurement processes then any others they started working on in January or since will start to come through from now on. Big multi-system deals with local and regional government would take a while if they are being made.
Not sure if you’re referring to me Muscorum but if you are, I’m not. Just trying to understand the company’s prospects better by sharing and reading what others share. I’m optimistic and now heavily invested but also share counterpoints. I am pretty certain my views/shared links and those of others on here wont impact the SP (even in the short term). Just trying to learn and pass the time.
I’m starting to get a sense of why LTHs get frustrated with the company even when it’s doing well. These Q&As seem to have been buried and provided the minimum detail possible. The one bit that is news is that the right to issue more shares this year is for value adding acquisitions rather than fundraising and that they don’t currently have any in mind.
This article about valuing a US fuel cell company provides some thought provoking reading. I’ve invested quite a bit in AFC this year and want it to rise but comparisons with ITM don’t make sense given the big difference between the markets.
I still feel hydroX(s) could do very well in shipping and Alkamem could provide a solid flow of revenue from sales into the electrolysis production market. Whether there’s a big market in replacing diesel gensets with our existing products is the big short term unknown. I’m not confident about EV sales but will be an awesome cash flow boost if we can generate some. Our current valuation implies net profits of around £20m in 10 years time which does still feel very cheap. Let’s hope the half year report brings more news on deal flow.

On the back of the extreme-e micro electrolysis project, I really hope AFC are looking into solar/hydrogen mini-grids to help rural Africa leapfrog the creation of a centralised grid. Huge market over the next 30 years with the population of Africa projected to grow to 2bn and GDP growth 5%+.
Sorry for sharing so much Hydrogen sector news today but here’s another one from Oz. Basically what AFC and extreme-e are doing but smaller for a household application. Solar power from rooftop, water purification, electrolysis and storage of enough hydrogen to top up a battery for 3 days worth of power. Could this ever be competitive with the grid? Probably not in the UK but maybe elsewhere. It would be particularly attractive to wealthy homeowners in fast growing Africa cities (with dodgy power supplies) for example. https://www.h2-view.com/story/hydrogen-powered-homes-a-step-closer-thanks-to-ghd-providence-asset-group-partnership/
Solar to hydrogen (skipping electrolysis...)
This technology would reduce the cost of green hydrogen a lot. It would boost AFC’s fuel cell opportunities but may undermine the market for Alkamem.
