Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation invested $53 million in the German company, CureVac, which specializes in the development of these vaccines.
Vaccination has been central in diminishing or eradicating multiple infectious diseases, such as smallpox or polio. However, producing vaccines is a long and complex process, and it has been difficult to implement vaccines against certain pathogens. Thus, designing new vaccines remains a major challenge for public health.

Nuvec vaccines addresses issues typically affecting current vectors:
High capacity loading of nucleic acids
Excellent transfection properties
No payload leakage, with evidence pr protection from complete degradation
Excellent preclinical tolerability without major unwanted immune responses
Crucially no tracking the liver

October 23rd 2018 they announced that CureVac AG, a fully integrated biopharmaceutical company pioneering the field of mRNA-based drugs, today announced the initiation of its Phase I dose-escalation clinical trial with the novel mRNA-based rabies vaccine, CV7202. This is the first-in-human clinical trial of CureVac’s naturally optimized mRNA technology delivered using a lipid nanoparticle (LNP), tailored to provide the vaccine with a strong, safe and persistent immune response. The study will assess the safety, reactogenicity, and the potential protective immune response of the vaccine.

Market research report identifies $178 billion market
The Company recently commissioned a market research report from Agility Health Tech to assess the potential market position for Nuvec(R). Whilst there are currently no approved products which use nanosilica as a drug delivery vehicle, the total market size for nanotechnology drug delivery was valued at $79 billion in 2012 and is expected to reach a value of $178 billion in 2019, representing a compound annual growth rate of 4.15%.

Big plan for Nuvec
In early March, N4P appointed Andrew Leachman, a former senior research scientist at FTSE 100-listed AstraZeneca PLC, as head of Nuvec development - one would imagine Leachman comes with pharma-street-smarts. His work worked on a variety of clinical and pre-clinical assets across respiratory, inflammation and oncology for several pharmaceutical companies will no doubt prove an asset, furthering Nuvec's commercial aspirations. The should speed up strategy to seek out partners to evaluate Nuvec within their products, having already signed one with MedImmune UK. A recent trip to Japan was successful in sounding out potential partners. The Company's strategy allows it to determine precisely how Nuvec will be used by its partners, either as a vaccine, a delivery system for therapeutics, or both. The first phase of work is well underway and the Company has demonstrated the ability to dose-dependently transfect a range of cells and is now looking to determine which primary cells are crucial in that process. The next phase is to focus on CMC charecterisation of Nuvec and to undertake pre-clinical PK, pharmacology, and toxicology work. All of these elements are criticial to allow Nuvec to ultimately enter into human clinical trials with a partner. The Company expects to complete much of this work by the end of 2018.

Leister u are right, as a investor its a amazing to see traders selling at a loss.. when we are aiming for Market Cap of £40 million at least IMO
