Good point, I meant "savvier". I also am a little puzzled as to why this has gone down on promise of potentially good news. Finding kimberlite being as good as could be expected, short of Ledzep's "African star on the end of the drillbit". It's not a "sell on good news" suitable share as it is far too under the radar fro that approach to make any sense, as virtually no expectation is as yet factored into the share price despite the partnering with no less a company than Alrosa. Maybe Obama's sabre rattling against the Russians doesn't help, but it is barely relevant here, and I have not seen it moving on that type of news, to be fair.
Great RNS. Share price sown on tiny amounts by small p.i. s selling on news, and I think once the bigger sassier investors make a few trades we will see upward movement, as hitting one out of two holes for kimberlite is pretty good!!
Hi Zep. Another human being here! Do you think this just possibly might be flying well under the radar. I like under the radar very much indeed!! I believe that they applied for more Botswana licenses and news is trickling through gradually as to which companies have been successful in which applications. I am uncertain as to what BOD applied for and whether they still have irons in the fire in that respect! Are we still expecting possible news re that in the next couple of weeks. Certainly the BOD have recently, in the last few weeks, bought more; always a very good sign!!
Smashing through those resistances. I'm not invested here but well done to those who are!!
Fair point re brokers' recommendations. I can name the odd share where the brokers target has followed a massive rise, and they limp along weeks after the excitement with a revised upwards target! I appreciate your tenets! Best wishes! This looks like an interesting share but I am strictly short of funds and like many watching WSG. I have rattled a few cages of wilder beasts on a certain board and am in judicious part time exile. I reported the guy who suggested I killed myself by hanging (!) but LSE don't seem to take it seriously, or more likely won't deal till Monday. Nice people NOT!! Still at least we are all anonymous so water and ducks is the best way forward.!!
very small trades, a 20 and a 4, one costing £1.28 and the other 26p. So what do we make of that?? An economics class playing at share purchases, kids with pocket money who maybe have an inkling something is up, or signals? I cannot think that 2 in close succession could be s.o. buying in tranches, or getting the wrong no, first time round!!
on whether you think the market is still in boom mode, about to crash in the next 3 months or volatile and a matter of human instinct. All of Man's funds would do well in the first two scenarios, and some in all 3. We will all predict differently!
I agree, and you can add Kingworldnews and 24h Gold onto the list, that we are in the doldrums for the forseeable, but I just think that there are lots and lots of people for whom upgrading phones and computers are one of the last things they will economise on, and when one breaks there is no way you cannot replace it or you are right out of the loop. When you replace you tend to upgrade- not least because swifter connection times and so on are seen as time- saving, All children in all schools have a computer, and I really cannot conceive of that changing, especially as the price comes down over time. Even tramps often have a phone or computer. Gone are the days when it is seen as any kind of luxury. In many cases it is the cheapest way to communicate with friends and relations. In the case of relations in Australia, staggeringly so. Think of seeing relations on skype in 3D, or teleconferencing, or combining that with the kind of robotics that iRobot is working on. Saves on airfares, and the boss can see what is going on from afar!!
It's not really about the middle classes. Computers, i-pads, whatever you get your games on, are not a middle class luxury, but a standard necessity these days. Even people on the streets sometimes have one. Furthermore though the middle classes might be contracting here, that is countered by places where they are expanding Even in the worst case scenario "bread and circuses" would not be taken away. People who are gaming or watching films are not rioting now, are they? are they?
"glasses free" do our resident derampers not understand? When I ask 16- 22 year olds about whether they would get 3D games if possible they say. "I like 3D but the glasses are a real pain. If we didn't have to wear the glasses.. wow..yeah, that would be great!!"
You're shorting this, right? But they could come out with another massive contract at any time, right? So isn't that one risky move, as you have no idea when news of another contract might suddenly come through?
great RNS, great to be working with big co.,great to see the rise, and I like being the first to comment on this RNS!! Seems the only other people who have commented have been through their cash. Wish I was fluid enough to join in atm!
before the days of BOD there was AFD (African Diamonds) which sold its % of a Botswana mine to Lucara Diamonds. Here is a 239 carat beauty they just found from that mine! www.media3.marketwire.com/docs/luc318i.pdf
result, though it was hardly likely to be different. Nevertheless handy for reminding people that the Falklanders always have been British and always will be.
