Small extract from Nornickel/ICBS bank report from the link I posted yesterday....
This part relating just to nickel
The growing battery sector will continue to support the need for nickel in 2019: the demand for this metal could grow by 28,000 t. However, the growth rate of demand in this sector may slow down: Chinese subsidies for electric cars are reduced, the next large-scale transition to cathode materials with a higher nickel content is expected no earlier than 2020.
The production of nickel pig iron (NPI) remains the driver of metal supply on the market. In 2019, the production volume of NPI in China and Indonesia will increase by 129, 000 tons to 861, 000 tons, which will be approximately 36% of the world nickel supply.
However, experts predict a recovery in the supply of high-grade nickel, which will be induced by both the growth plans for the supply of metals Nornickel (the world leader in the production of high-quality nickel) and the Chinese metallurgical company Jinchuan; an increase in the production of chemical products also stimulates this growth.
In the longer term, the expert team of Norilsk Nickel confirms the earlier forecast: in 2022 the market may face a deep structural deficit of the metal. This is due to the expectation of restoration of the ban on export of Indonesian ore, the slowdown in the development of HPAL technology (high-pressure acid leaching), continued growth in demand from the stainless steel sector (4% per year), and increase in demand from battery manufacturers for electric vehicles due to transition to NCM 811 (nickel-cobalt-manganese cathode material) in the early 2020s.?
Seems there's recognition of Jinchuan so perhaps they'd consider a joint bid for Kun Manie ?

In case anyone missed this.

I agree with everyone's comments...very polished presentation.
Do we know the purpose ?
Are they looking for more funding or perhaps a potential partner/buyer ?
Any thoughts ?
Thanks for pointing that out East.

Sounds some while away but UK is usually late with implementing plans ...if they have one.
Doesn't bode well for O&G sector though.

Thanks for that AP
Did you notice the other extract from your article:-
The package of proposals from the Amur region will be sent to the Ministry of Development. The same documents were prepared by all other regions of the DFO. And, as Vasily Orlov added, the region will now have to defend its interests at the federal level, proving the importance and viability of the proposals. The final version of the national program will be presented in September at the Eastern Economic Forum, where the next session of the State Council devoted to the development Far East. Reports Amur Really.
So maybe we'll hear about funding option at or after the EEF ?
If an investor can be found prior to the forum perhaps Putin would like to add a project of this size to his tally for the Far East.

"Coltrane should now understand its the absolute best they are going to get, and will vote it through."
... would you ?
It looks odds on a proportion of the road cost will be met by RF or regional gvt to accommodate both AMC and the forestry coys who are earmarked for gvt funds to increase regional revenue very soon.
Surely the trees have to go before a road can be built and perhaps the Amur region can benefit from forestry revenues or have I got this wrong ?

Not sure if you've seen it ...but some explanatory posts made by Rob Shepherd on ADVFN board.
Might enlighten some of our fellow posters.

"The part where he talks about the TEO and rolls into the BFS needs to be listened to carefully imo. "
If they're not seeking western funding will they need to have a BFS ?
Not sure how the China/Asia financiers view this....i.e does the TEO suffice.
Agree with you there ftse...some sort of news will be coming but I'm not sure finance yet ...perhaps they're still doing the rounds to find that one remaining 'suitable' partner...and nothing can be agreed until all parties agree.
Unless of course you're right and JV/TO will make everything else unnecessary.
Glad you had the sense to take something when it was available...unlike myself...maybe too much greed or perhaps listened too much to the £1 party. Still that's past.
On the back of Edison valuations in the last few days ranging from circa 9p -14p that'd present a reasonable start right now...perhaps it has a chance IF (?) Riverfort exit happens in March/April (excluding their warrants).
I wouldn't be unhappy with 25p but like many other LTHs a figure closer to double that would represent a good deal for me.
GL
ftse
Does that mean you'd be happy with 25p ?
...or would you anticipate the SP to spike anytime after 2022 ?
Billyboy
Thanks for that.
Would you say we can expect a further circa 30m to be issued to wrap up deal (perhaps next month) ?
What say you ?
FitLike
Would you have record of total no of shares issued since inception of the deal ?
I ask bearing in mind the original agreement stating further issues @ 30% premium(not taken up)....and 9.2m or so warrants available for 3yr period @9.3p ....in relation to the initial drawdown....and the whole deal matures 13th Mar 2019 so I guess we can expect another of these RNSs around then to conclude the deal (with exception of warrants).
What say you ?
All that.. I guess with the auditor's experience Inc Russia he's more likely to be perceived as impartial. As for the RNS could it be designed to provide the necessary headlines whilst attempting to flush out potential interested parties?
"In a recent interview RY actually spoke about the director purchase scheme. The last part of that was, it runs until March and then, who knows, we might not need it after that"
….Was that one of his tongue-in-cheek comments ?
GL
"Lots of director deals in place at 3.2p"
So just one more month remaining of Directors share purchase plan...will it be renewed/replaced/increased ?

Joe
"When did RY last comment on gold? and how much do we have? come on GB33, you have a good memory for this stuff."
Randy mentioned some while ago ...approx 3 tons...unless there's been some improvement.
