To be honest, the FAQ contains several step-down that imply priorities and policies inside Amigo are already changing. That is thanks to the pressure exerted by PIs over the last week, and their fear they will lose this vote.

That is a good thing, and I don’t doubt that Glen will be making sure that these aren’t just empty promises.

Of course, some investors will say ‘Why do we need James then?’

My answer would be that, if we can achieve this in one week with me here on Twitter, imagine what we can achieve with me in a position of power inside the company working for shareholders 24/7.

A year ago we were both shocked and sickened by what the board had done to Amigo.

We have both spent the last year trying to resolve the situation.

Glen has followed a strategy that gives him almost 100% chance of being CEO of the regulated company, I have followed one that gives me a very strong chance of being in charge of Group.

The difference is, Glen traded some control for certainty. So whilst he is definitely in, he still has to manoeuvre internally to get the power to do what needs to be done.

The pressure I am exerting externally is making it easier for him to get that control. For example, whatever happens with the vote, he will have a strong case to replace Nayan and push on for Roger’s swift exit.

This is not necessarily a joined-up effort between Glen and I, but the fact is the board is now dealing with an external threat, and Glen can increasingly name his terms.

Calamari Glenn is a highly paid respected professional, I have doubt, he would perform to the highest level up until his last day...

The BOD's response changes everything.....It give's the market / investors confidence by simply illustrating that the business has a future.....

The have agreed to his immediate resignation, which I take they have agreed he can walk without notice, notice periods are always negotiable depending on the circumstances.

Legally his resignation could be rejected plus he could be made to honour his notice period.... usually with a golden handshake...

It’s probably already accepted in principle by the current BOD with a acceptance to withdraw if they win however if they lose Glen can always change his mind and agree something with

Totally agree FTH, the BOD's plan must have been to shake out the weak by dropping the SP and now making threats.....I am pleased to see them fighting back, just maybe the vote is closer than we think.....

Why is the SP being kept low ?
