RE: Why is the share price falling?20 Jul 2021 17:15
I work in construction and use the likes of CCF, TP, Minster, SIG...from what i see TP branches are in competition with its own branches. I know people who have worked for TP and those profitable branches are awarded for their efforts...and those that have poor sales figure / huge amounts of missing stock are either close down or management swapped about (ie branch 2 in watford).
Although in the past 4 years SIG had not been competitive they seem to upped their game and we are now placing orders with them (this doesn't mean to say some companies weren't achieving good rates).
Other than SP price the above is why i initially invested (@ 24p), i follow them on linkedin and its good to see regular company updates. SIG was once a very profitable organisation i'm not fully up to speed on what happened over the years but are quite well established within the UK & Europe.
As already stated lead times are extended cement, timber, insulation, plasterboard, metal...the list goes on and in terms of price 5%-50% on some products
