And as to seeking approval from BHP, if BHP had any designs on Cascabel, it was a no brainer because post merger Solgold owned 100%. Without the merger BHP would have to deal with two different parties, each of who, could hold them to ransom.

And it was 6% for Jiangxi not 10%

Either the sale of the 155 million would have stalled the merger process or the proceeds would have gone to cornerstone...

And by the same token, the 155 million shares were owned by CGP in November 2022 when shares were issued to Jiangxi and Sangha...

So SOLG would not have received a penny.

There is no ,legal requirement to have a Chairman because the Board can be chaired by the most appropriate person at the time, for example Maria with her legal training.

A Chairman cannot instruct anybody to do something if they have good reason not to. They are merely the Chair of the Directors and at the end of the day the majority will prevail.

Twigger was a dreadful Chairman. For years he allowed SOLG to have antediluvian Corporate Governance and eventually it was the major shareholders such as BHP, NCM etc together with institutional investors that made him drag the company into the 20th century.

As I said I have respected your views in the past and will not filter you but you are damaging the cause of us small investors with your paranoid conspiracy theories.

So don't jump to the conclusion that because he led a MBO of a specialist division, he will take AFC private...
