I've asked to question to Camarco who have spoken with the company this morning about the road access and the weather window. The response that came back is:
'because the area in which CH-1 is to be drilled is reasonably sandy in character and drains well. We do not foresee any issues in drilling the well or mobilising rig equipment in any specific season.'
That doesn't 100% satisfy me (probably due to how communications have been over the last two years), but it is reassuring.

Completely agree cperkin but just to clarify, they didn't actually say they had handed over 3mil to aminex. What they said was "ARA has agreed to provide a $3 million advance in instalments to the Company, ". I take the fact it comes in instalments is due to it being provided as and when things are needed for Ruvuma, but that's just my conjecture.

He’s actually correct on that one. They have to get it approved by the authorities which as you know, aren’t the fastest at turning things around. Still, if there was one in the pipeline, I’d expect to see higher volumes. So many people involved it will no doubt be leaked and a noticeable rise in sp before we see the rns.

Yes, the tax laws have nothing to do with the licence extension unless you mean from ARA/APTs perspective of wanting to see them first, but then they have already shown their commitment by pushing ahead with long lead items - putting their money where their mouth is. Whilst Buckle has tried to suggest those payments to aminex are to keep the lights on I expect they had enough to keep them going to midway 2020 but not enough to risk putting the money into ruvuma. Those costs that Aminex will be paying as the operator will be claimed back as part of the farmout agreement once completed.
