Vanders findings.
Fanfares, chants and slogans surrounded the installation of Alphonse Shungu Mahungu, the new Director General of the RVA, recently appointed by presidential ordinance.
Alphonse Shungu carried out the handover and resumed with his predecessor on Monday, July 12, 2021 in the facilities of the higher council of the portfolio before being installed an hour later at the headquarters of the RVA on the avenue des aviateurs in the Beau Marché district in the commune of Barumbu by the President of the Superior Council of the Portfolio.
The latter presented the new CEO of the RVA with the topo of the company while giving the newly promoted recommendations on the management of the company, insisting on good governance and transparency.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors for his part also recalled the role of the Board of Directors, which is not in opposition to the Chief Executive Officer, but which is complementary to him.
In his response, the new Director General Shungu first thanked the President of the Republic Mr Félix Tshisekedi for the trust he placed in himself to lead the destinies of the RVA.
He said he knew the Head of State's vision and was committed to supporting him in the recovery of the RVA.
He thanked both speakers for their insight and advice, which he welcomed.
It has broken down its priority objectives into six points:
Restore the image of the company,
Modernize its management and mode of operation,
Renew and modernize its infrastructure and airport equipment,
Strengthen the security of the Congolese airspace,
Carry out a series of projects with visible impact in the medium term,
Improve the social climate of the company.
He hammered out one of his mottos: "It is all together that we will achieve our goals ..." And to the staff of the company he recommended to create a peaceful atmosphere, one of the conditions to achieve the mission of the RVA.
At the end of the ceremony, Info en Ligne des Congolais circulated its microphone among the staff. And a feeling seemed to be shared: Alphonse Shungu was seen as a CEO of change and hope
