2008 financial crisis and yes I did there were multiple 30% swings in a day

First share I ever bought was barclays many years ago when there were runs on the banks and the sp had collapsed and the swings were insane. I took a massive risk as my very clever friend advised me to invest 10k - ofc I didn't listen I won't say how much but I doubled my investment a week later. Beginners luck I guess.
