Katstrangler preaching to not averaging down at 0.2p10 Jul 2026 22:21
"It's not rocket science, not at all. but when you're fighting your own confirmation bias (when there's really no information out there to prove better times are ahead) and when your first reaction is to defend your losing position because you don't want to see some honest criticisms and label it 'trolling' then what hope have you got?
also, when you have the reaction that 'averaging down' is a great idea without recognising that averaging down without some upside is just adding more money to lose on the next stage of the slide is blooody madness.
most folk here would do well, if they can't afford to sell up and find a better share, to just hold and hope for an upturn. and, just maybe, look for a better proposition for your cash.
there are shares out there like ITM that, post last friday's news, has added 42%. they're out there... but this (until there's some actual news that shows how it will rise) isn't it.
a slightly lower average just inst a victory until you can see why your average price is a possible target, without saying stupid things like 'it did it before, it'll do it again' without understanding why 'it did it before' and how much of that was just rubbish or herd mentality, harnessed by a few good rampers!"
