On the corporate side of things, UBS's Amy Wong expects Wood will post second half sales and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation of approximately $3.5bn and $327m, respectively.

On an implied EBITDA margin of 9.2%, that would be compatible with the company's own guidance for full-year revenues and EBITDA of $7.6bn and $620-640m.

Wong had also penciled-in net debt of $1.04bn (Wood: $1.03bn).

Looking out to 2021, consensus was anticipating the Energy engineering and consultancy group would post full-year 6% drop in sales to reach $7.2bn and and EBITDA of $617m (8.6% margin).

That said, I was pleased by the positive price action today. It held above the recent gap up and looked weak for a while and then moved up into the close.

Moving up until ex div and then decide on Wed do I sell and rebuy (some or all) on ex div day or pocket the dividend and hold on for pre ex div or higher.

ATM thinking the latter but who knows, depends on the moves.

ADNOC would have been expected to confirmed $billions of delayed contracts so the Mother Hubbard's cupboard I mention below will look sparse.

The company has not changed since yesterday. A bit of hope has gone from securing some contract wins in the near term form ADNOC.

As I also said no one knows what will happen.

However I can safely say the price will not remain at 110p forever.

It could drop to 80p yes, but then rally back to 110p (37% return).
It could return to 135p / £2 / £3 or even go to £Zero.

Entry and exit prices are key if you want to take a chance. Everything in life is a risk.

No one is forcing anyone to participate.

UPDATE ON UAE



Petrofac Ltd announces it has today been notified by ADNOC Group that it has been suspended from competing for new awards until further notice. This follows the SFO's announcement of additional pleas in January by a former Petrofac employee under the Bribery Act 2010 in relation to historic contract awards in the UAE in 2013 and 2014.



Petrofac will continue to execute two EPC projects for ADNOC currently under construction. ADNOC has stated that it recognises the long-standing nature of its relationship with Petrofac and has confirmed that its decision will be reviewed on a periodic basis.
