The never coming housing recession has been but a speck. TW. - trading update around 11th Jan should confirm nothing to fear. HEading up and neat dividend - there will be a time for trimming of course.

Over the last years you can nearly set the rallies around 2nd Nov 2nd Feb and May and they all succumb but serious money to be made.

The never arriving recession is still not coming and those out of the market are clambering in. Unfortunately the 20% rises globally have seent he ftse stagnate and any US pullback with hit the FTSE. Some time the FTSE will play catch up.

There are specific reasons for a pause after the 13th FED meeting if it ends in disappointment and may trigger some profit taking which will be a buying opportunity.

IT will all end in tears at some point but the wall of worry climb has legs to DOW 40k S&P 5k

Temporarily fall back before higher highs. We will have 40k and 5k DOW & S&P respectively by early FEB.

Personally would prefer to watch the debt drop at time goes by and the benefits of the merger to filter through, as it appears to be firmly on this track.

Gut feeling is that there are many suitors lining up and the bidder may return before 888 recovery gets too much steam.

Trajectory upwards is the trend.

May have to be arranging a £1 party at the Crown once resolution is in the public arena.

S79, my takeaway from the article was the lazy after the fact journalism but noteworthy was the company's comment via a source. That was the only news in the article, the rest could be from a week ago or from lse chat.

When the media splash a story, eg when doom and gloom appear on sky.... it is usually a contarian signal not contagian.

My glass is half full but acutely aware this could be heading to the bottom drawer.

Once news is known it will either....

recover sharply (if the company has been honest with it's rns reporting)

Funding opportunity for shareholders to risk fresh funds and average down significantly (at these prices the risk reward of a resolution is an easy punt.. once the facts are known)

Or else the company has been blatantly lying throughout and if so deserve to go to the wall and our investment are worthless.

The final option is the most unlikely as far as I can determine and would be scandalous.
