The last day of trading is today. Those still on the register will get a paper certificate from ACER in a few weeks. They will set up a system to buy/sell ACER shares but no detail yet. A user group has been set up on Yahoo. It is very simple to join , please go to yahoo.com - then on the left side menu click on groups - then type : acertec plc .... then JOIN .... This will enable those of us who hold to continue talking after the share is no longer on the usual boards.

India's Tata Motors on Sunday announced the entry of luxury British marques Jaguar and Land Rover into India, but insisted there were no plans to assemble them in the country for the time being. Six models -- three each from Jaguar and Land Rover -- will be sold from Monday in India, which is amongst the world's fastest-growing global automobile markets. I was unsure if Acertec have business connections with TATA, Landrover or Jaguar?

BID is what they will buy your shares back for and ASK is how much you will pay to buy shares from them. Share price is the mid point somewhere between what you might pay for a share and what they will quote you to sell. The spread is the difference between the sell and buy price usually quoted as a percentage. ACER is currently BID (sell at) 1p ASK (buy at) 1.5p with a quoted share price of 1.25p which is the average between the bid & ask price. So spread is 50% (the % difference between buy and sell), which is really large and how the MM's make thier money (buy from us 1p and then sell for 1.5p). Hope this helps

Recent buys are showing red as sells on the LSE recent share trades. I purchased at 1.3 and this shows as a sell. Possibly the same for other trades around this level. It looks like no one is buying today when they are.

Do you know at what price Barclays upped thier stake to 7% at. Glad I topped up now! Why would experts like Barclays increase thier stake to 7% if they didnt know they are on to a winner? Any thoughts appreciated, as I am often wrong!!

Can anyone tell me if Barclays have increased or decreased thier stake in Acertec on Wednesday this week? RNS Number : 4139U Acertec PLC 24 June 2009. Got this from iii Acer board under news. If they are increasing, surley its because they are going to make money from the delisting. If they are decreasing, then maybe I should not have just topped up!

They may have all been frightened off by ValleyForge post today and bailed out! Still hope these will work out in the longer term?

Thanks & yes I have joined the Yahoo Group. As to ACER, the key points are the debt refinancing and then a pick up in the economy. If they get past the refinancing stage then I believe these will do well in the next 6 to 18 months. I have also been looking at RENE today. Should do well if approval is given for clinical trials?

I am into many penny shares. Hoping for good news very soon from ICX.L with several companies considering an offer for them including Pfizer. News hoped for any day & hoping for an offer price around 24p (current SP about 11p). As always, may come to nothing. Also into GKP.L which was one of the largest traded shares on the entire stock exchange today up 20% at times. Good early drilling results and if confirmed around Aug/Sept will fly. Still a good price to get in now at & 4p below what I happily paid! If they strike lucky trhese will increase by many multiples although Iraqi politics are a factor to be aware of. Also VOG.L - High risk but possible huge returns. Also BPC.L and MARL.L (both below the price I got in at)! Just sold out of SAR.L as I needed the funds but regreting being out. HIgh risk. As always DYOR & GL. I shall keep my ACER and top up a small amount on Friday.

Please see reply I received from Acertec today concerning the issue of paper certificates for those still holdindg electronic shares after delisting takes place. "I am not expecting that you will need to take any action. We will give notice of the intention to end electronic dealing within the next few days. We will then need to be sure that all electronic trades have been completed. We expect it will be at least 10 days from end of trading before Equiniti provide the final reconciliation of shareholders on the register after which the paper certificates will be issued. I am not yet sure whether there will then need to be a further process after that to transfer share certificates from the likes of Equiniti to yourselves or whether this will be done in one go." I am holding and possibly looking to top up before Friday close. What happens to all the stock/shares the MM's are still holding once trading ends on Friday? I realise that it will be more difficult & costly to sell once they are private but hope that in 12 months time, the benefits will outweigh the increased time and cost to sell. Current price reflects the uncertainty rather than the true value and potential upside? GL

This is the reply I received from Mick Hayhurst, Company Secretary to your question. "However shares held electronically are held through the CREST system. On delisting we will no longer operate through CREST and paper certificates will be issued". - What he did not answer was by whom and when. I attach his e mail address. m.hayhurst@acertec.com

Galaxy, I said I would let you know the outcome of instructing my brokers as to my voting wishes with respect to the delisting proposal for the shares I hold in my nominee account. Well, they have not even bothered to open my e mail of 13 June in which I gave them clear instruction. I tried phoning customer services twice today at Equiniti and each time gave up after holding for 45 minutes in a que! How many other private investors with electronic shares in nominee accounts will have no say in this key vote? I have no idea whether my broker and others have chosen simply not to vote or indeed use PI shares to vote against the proposal and hence keep the shares listed and therefore keep the future trading business. I shall continue to hold and wish I had held a paper certificate.
