Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
The spoonful of sugar was hidden at the end and was possibly the most important part.
Very wordy as usual. Plenty of %s. Some perhaps more useful tonnages. Have to wait for revenues. But it was a pretty positive update.
Overall I'm pleased to have this update than nothing at all. Fingers crossed SweetBiotix is really imminent
what follows is taken from poster, pj1 on advfn. apparently referencing a note from *************/tw. i don't subscribe to tw so i have no idea of the exact wording.
"************* now dropping out the possibility of insolvency unless opti steps in at 4 to 5p"
as i say, no idea if this is what was said, nor what the wording may have been. or indeed the context. scaremongering? thinking aloud?
Results are usually published in June for YE Dec. We have had trading updates in the past, but these are ad hoc, so difficult to predict when they might be posted.
SlimBiome products , etc have been the main stay, since PBX was hived off. And this is a very crowded market, so don't expect massive returns there.
The long anticipated and hoped for SweetBiotix commercialisation, is still that! And whilst we have some advantage in science backed claims, competition must be growing there. And because the development partners for Sweet are, we are told, big players. We go at their pace.
Even so the SP was holding its own, with the usual sideways and slightly downward shift. So today's bigger drop is a bit disappointing. So my guess is the fall is due to lack of news/patience. The latter being understandable.
AS, thanks for taking the time and trouble to share your questions and responses. And for reposting info on SweetBiotix and rivals' attempts at getting competing ingredients through regulation. And ultimately to market.
Is it possible SOH's doggedness and attention to detail will finally payoff? I hope so. And, let us not have to wait too much longer.
I thought the £1m cost of moving to AIM was an initial figure. Thought SOH said it would be cheaper 18 months (?) after IPO. And if I've remembered correctly, I would support a move to AIM. I don't have loads of spare cash but would happily top up eg monthly at these prices.
Another new position.

Q. If revenue is flat and price/margin has increased, I imagine that Dermatonic are selling less units? Does this matter? I am guessing not?
And being very pedantic. What do we understand by the word "accretive"? Gradual growth, one online dictionary says. In terms of M&A, one site says combined EPS after M&A should be higher than EPS (of SBTX) prior. Was SA using the term in either of these ways?
