I envy those that ski , but would be a fool to go for it ... I am having a good time spread betting what I know though.. it was a bad crack and I had to lay off
Aside from that , I hope all is good
I click in the morning!!!
.. Syria (c.me) remains a flag , onward oilers ... likely 1.85 euro a litre b4 Y/E if Russia / China and Iran remain in cahoots..
... morning S, I think much of this expected outcome is priced in and that such was a red herring on the sideline of late. No doubt this and various continued forms of QE will lend support short term but I am very much turning on the taps towards the nego side of things , gl
.. just a point on QE , is not such designed to circumvent the banking system at a price that will be met by the tax payer without consultation?
..hope your pick up went well S , - loads of degrees where I am @ right now :(
My position is clear , I am now opening up shorts with deep pockets on the majors and holding longs with trailing stops upon the same, atb, Mark
Hi Simon , have ventured out doing the old shuffle routine , not at pace , but getting there , so running like a rabbit should hopefully arrive soon! The reason why I mentioned RSA is that I did not see it on Roy's list but RSA should see equity growth from these levels with minimum downside risk due to the ongoing dividend yield ... an ideal equity to leave it in the parking lot in actual paper shares ( heaven forbid ) accruing with others for the eventual pension plot pot job! I think it unlikely that RSA will cut the dividend from the current c.8.5% dependant on what equity value’s you are buying up RSA , but as others know , at these levels there are also great CFD dividend plays to also put into practice. I would have also thought that rebasing the dividend is also not likely going forward. I do have others that I strategically invest in throughout the year and used to post these under the relevant chat sections but not much interest was shown , I will post on this board what I consider to be the best of these when the timing is clearly evident , atb , Mark http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/news/rsas-profits-dive-as-it-pays-out-millions-in-weather-claims-2190286.html
...'teeth' even , ha ha , my english master would have put a ruler over my knuckles for that one .. :)
Have a good xmas folks ... whilst I tend to stick to the more volatile indices not discussed on LSE , I did notice on Roy's board some equity plays and as I initially cut my teath on equities , I do consider RSA as worthy of a reserved place in the fairly safe holding parking lot .. I myself drove in rather sharpish with the majority of profits from this year when the gate was lifted on the 19th , anyway , to health , hapiness and wealth to you all , Mark.

... my 3 fav indices will be in full swing when Spain joins the party! .. back walking around now S. (not yet running but on verge of so v.happy to have recovered so thus far)chat soon , atvb , Mark
..LBH , you are not missing anything .. EU gets to breath a little longer whilst China spreads its economic web still further. The selling off of EU government bonds will prevail and EU government debt costs will increase well above forecast with future Bond Auctions attracting higher yields and the printing press will be allowed to continue unless society prevents such , happy days!
DOW now testing 11200
Hi Simon, had the last operation 2 weeks ago and have progressed well enough in physiotherapy to now start walking without the need of crutches... there are many in that unit that are less fortunate than I , so I count my blessings. It looks like talk of Eurobonds and continued Chinese support is lending to recent short term Euro strength , I am sat on the fence for the next few sessions , might look at entering the markets on Friday if they are still in rally mode on the short side , anyway , I hear Ryan Air will now only accept their own prepaid mastercard from November to avoid booking fees so will track down how to best apply , bless them , at least they have not yet asked passengers to get out and push and pull the aircrafts on and off the runways b4 take offs and after landings... Jack , maybe the phone line got cut off for non payment , atb , Mark
Hi Jona , I am currently using the DOW as a barometer and my central thought at the moment is that the DOW needs to break through c.11200 and for that to become support to confirm any likely further upward movement. There has been much talk of varying short squeezes going on within our markets that could have helped to part account for this recent rally but regardless of where the momentum has come from , for me , the DOW will either meet strong resistance @ c.11200 and dither around this mark for a while , or fall back from this level fairly sharply... it could as easily push straight on through it ... hence me cashing in and sitting on the sidelines awaiting confirmation of which direction the markets wish to push or pull as I can't second guess which way at these levels, atb , Mark
.. just closed Monday's longs on DAX and the usual Italian 40 and Ibex 35 swings , 1300 point tally .. looking to enter short ositioons on the same , hope the tooth fairy is good to you S!

.. speaking of Greece and individual trading techniques , the Greeks would have once said Suum cuique.. to each his own ... I am sure that many would like to see Europe seriously unravel ....
