3DX-Ray (a wholly owned subsidiary of IGE) have announced that they've sold 'a quantity' of their THREAT SCAN-LSC systems to the Brazilian State Military Police. Whilst not clear how many units, it's now being used by six different state teams (Bahia, Pará, Paraíba, Rondônia, Santa Catarina and São Paulo). Brazil's a big country and these states are geographically dispersed so we can assume it's AT LEAST six units.
Great news and following on from their recent sales in Africa it demonstrates that these Threatscan systems have a global appeal.

Like every other JDGs shareholder, I've been excitedly watching the share price climb and am delighted to see it hit an ATH today of £91.99.
Anyone got any theories/insight as to what's causing it? My best guess is that it's got something to do with strong revenue from the various subsidiaries thanks to inflation adjusted pricing, plus supply chain issues easing up making life easier for the underlying scientific instrument businesses. Keen to hear other viewpoints though.
Great news. This bit of the RNS in particular caught my eye:
"The new graphene enhanced kayak prototype has already sold 30 units, leading to positive expectations on potential sales when the season starts, and the first kayaks reach the European marketplace."
Their kayaks start from £1799 in the UK, presumably their prototypes are pricier so it's encouraging that they've sold that many already.
Evidently 1.2m kayaks were sold in the US - Norse aren't selling in the US but that indicates it's a pretty substantial market.
If incorporating graphene gives Norse a notable advantage over it's competitors we could well see functionalised graphene cascading through the kayak market.
ABDynamics have announced their new raytracing technology that creates a realistic map of the world enabling automotive development in a simulated environment - I'm surprised they haven't RNS'd it. Check it out: http://bit.ly/3DffPw4
Haydale did a good presentation at a Graphene Council webinar yesterday, well worth a watch -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwEnR1mz8SE
(Haydale are from 2:36 to 15:51)
At 10:00 JMS talks about what characteristics they can tweak with functionalisation and what commercial applications these have - I haven't seen them explain it so succinctly before and is a good indicator they are wrapping their heads what benefit they can bring to industry.
Overall, it was a good presentation and from the questions it sounded like there were a good number of people on the call.
Hi all, the full Slingshot interview with Dr Richard Goodfellow is online, link is https://youtu.be/oGBn9pStUYs
Hope you all enjoy it. Marcus.
The interview with Richard was conducted on 13th December - Christmas meant it took a while to turn around. The full interview with RG will be published on Thursday morning, and I'll post the link here.
Someone asked about Marcus on ADVFN, I did post the interview there under the same name as here but I'm not marcusl2 - it's quite a coincidence that they choose to repost about it straight away, they must've been excited to see a fellow Marcus in the wild.
And yes, I'm related to Charles - I'm his son.
Thanks for the feedback and positive comments guys, I'm really excited about SCLP at the moment and like you all I'm constantly refreshing the RNS' from 7am onwards for an update. But talking to RG has reassured me that they've got a winning strategy and good news is on the way, it just takes a looooong time to execute.
And to Jamboian, I'm not a good interviewer and I'd like to get someone else to do it one day. That said, I think we asked some good investor-oriented questions which is the most important part of conducting an informative interview.
Morning all. I've created a podcast on Scancell where we're lucky enough to be joined by Dr Richard Goodfellow for a chat about Genmab, Moditope, commercializing Biotech and what it's like working with Lindy. We also provide some analysis on Genmab and a primer on Immuno-oncology (not that you lot need that!). I'd be so grateful if you guys would give it a listen and let me know your thoughts: http://bit.ly/3IQjIez
Our purpose is to uncover and share exciting investment news and announcements that most people would miss (the SCLP Genmab deal being a recent and prime example) so if you have any other ideas for topics we should cover, let me know.
Thanks for listening, Marcus
So LSE won't post links but you can find it by searching "Surface Transforms - The Brakes EVs Needed" in your podcast app of choice.
Morning all. I've created a podcast on Surface Transforms where we discuss the recent news of their factory expansion and why EVs have been such a driver behind their recent success. I'd be so grateful if you guys would give it a listen and let me know your thoughts:
