A White House official whose name has not been revealed told Reuters in an exclusive interview today, the U.S. is not modifying international travel restrictions “at this point” citing the highly transmissible Delta variant that’s now present in 124 countries.

“Given where we are today with the Delta variant, the United States will maintain existing travel restrictions at this point,” he said. “Driven by the Delta variant, cases are rising here at home, particularly among those who are unvaccinated and appear likely to continue to increase in the weeks ahead.”

The official also mentioned the travel alert on UK-bound travel issued by the CDC requesting Americans not to travel to the United Kingdom following a spike in COVID-19 cases.

I have read with intrigue on this bb and there are many that are just pure speculation to stupidly . I just can not see this rising high on the back of the USA news and may i add no two bit news . i can not and will not either ramp or de ramp . i just choose to put a argument or discussion against flagrant ramping and de ramping with out facts . you see they all say ohhhh thousands of flights going from here and there but no one actually finds out the there iag flights and how many pax per kite see my point

So at the moment there is no good news regarding Ba for 1 year , we shall see the burn rate this year. Im still holding out for 150 and i think it will come i think there's a big shock coming , if im wrong ok i have lost a gain but like i say i have some shares in this not many just waiting for the big hammer to come down .

sundezena i do admire your optimism bud its a getting a very interesting scenario which way BA will go . Furlough finishes end of Sept , which if it may have a detrimental affect on redundancies and reducing the fleet if the the bookings are not there . Balancing ball time this SP could go anywhere . I am just looking at the pros and cons before investing more bud . Keep up the bb bud

ERrr cancellations don't cost iag 1 penny all depend how far ahead they cancel the flight, but still have to pay slot times , gnd staff handling ,re scheduling the flight all hidden costs ,staff wages i suppose you are saying they cancel there wages if they dont fly and your in the airline business can i ask which one con -air !!

BA usually cancel the flight if its not profitable, quickest way to loose customers then if its using that policy

im going to be on the fence waiting for a year me thinks unless a magical big contract comes in or a new development but there again getting this to market has been a rough ride , got splinters in my bum waiting on the fence

big blue not sure about cargo bud but you would have thought cargo would fly fully loaded that's economical sense where passengers have a slot time and terminal stand to use , cargo can be loaded anywhere on a airfield without restrictions and time

big-blue the airline industry works on bums on seats , like cinemas theatres they look at the size of venue and offer maximum price for a ticket . Airlines have to compete with other airlines so can sell tickets way above every tone else . Its called a market . This is fundamentals of business if you don't put bums on seats you dont make profit . I f a BA flight to New York is 500 and another carrier is song the same route at 400 and same plane who you going to go for . so dont lecture me on cost of sales and profit margins as it clearly states you don't have a scubby doo what your talking about . and % are everything in business

so at 91 pax per flight say the average seat fit is 200 per flight to me thats less than 50% occupancy well below the average cost of making a profit on a kite . show me some honest facts if im wrong i aplogise and be very interesting the figures at the end of the month
