Listen to our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode 'Uncovering opportunities with investment trusts' with The AIC's Richard Stone here.
Many thanks BTB and TomE
I have just had a chance to watch the interview.
Likes;
1.Short succinct interview (6 minutes) and to the point
2.Clear satisfaction of both the results and the relationship between GGP and Newcrest
3.Byrnecut moving to "double time" around the clock 24 hours
4.A subtle hint that although the PFS would be largely based on the original MRE Shaun did add that "there is a little bit of growth that could be added from that infill drilling" -so not out of the question that we may get a small increase for use in the PFS-Somewhere between 4.2 and 5m oz would be realistic

Quality opinions and assessments Bamps much appreciated!
Have a great weekend all
MFU
Appreciate Bamps-would you feel on balance those results from Thursday therefore were in the "outstanding" category ie 17/17 or slightly more "above average" ?

Hi Bamps & all
Previously Bamps explained the benefit of long strikes in terms of efficiencies and quality eg we have been well used to seeing returns like 90m at 2.1 g/t or 114m at 1.7 g/t as purely examples
What I noticed about the latest were we either had much shorter lengths eg 20+ metres or 37 or thereabouts at decent grades and only one was in the 80s .There was another at 200m but the g/t was something like 0.45 which was much less than we are used to seeing
I would welcome feedback as to how these look/compare ie are they weaker than previous reported drills or are they still very strong but in a different way ?
As a non geo I still struggle to get the figures !! Cheers MFU
Good post TT-it is but a sad indictment of the games played by MM's after almost every set of results that most pi's are now reluctant to load up in the immediate days prior. The last few phases have shown the best time to buy GGP is a few days after results day however the nearer we get to MRE2 and PFS the more risk people take in missing "one of those great GGP blue days" :))
GLA for tonight MFU
Nice memories for you Tig- I bet between you there were a few anecdotes to share! Enjoy the weekend and roll on next week ! PS still looks like MM's stage managing 19p Bid in to next week ....
Hi Tig
Watching the Golf highlights last night on BBC there was a nice tribute to your great friend Peter Alliss...some terrific pieces of footage...my favourite was his comment about a golfer who looked like he enjoyed a drink lol...."Patron Saint of Tetley's" (I don't think he meant Tea !!) Keep well MFU
PS-Feel we are being stage managed towards a 19p close leading in to results night...but would love to be wrong and sneak above 20p by wednesday :))
Fabulous post TT -invaluable for anyone considering the merits of GGP and of course other junior explorers

Apologies if mentioned previously. Entertaining fly on the wall 3 part documentary started just earlier. 1st gold mine in Scotland looks like ScotGold. Small operation but some similar principles as they look to work towards 1st pour. Filming must have started in 2019. Well worth a watch on catch up

Thanks Lenz & Little Crumbs !

Great point Canary3. I sometimes feel CEO's buy a token number of shares as a knee-jerk reaction to a falling price. That is quickly seized upon by MM's and before you know it has dropped further. Re Bamps point about the closed periods I would politely challenge that because GH twice bought GGP shares (once early pandemic when the price dropped sharply and another earlier this year ) these were both within closed periods ?due to ongoing NCM reporting. It is academic for me as like Canary alluded to, I feel the 25p options are a plentiful incentive.

Morning all.
This drill rig being kept at Hav I am struggling with. NCM are working with 8/9 rigs at Hav on the growth process. I get that bit. I don't get where this other rig which was heading for Scally is coming from. Is it an extra that we have commissioned and is it the same one recently seen at Goliath etc or an additional one. Clarity would be appreciated.

IndyNial great post :))
PS Barry Davies one of my all time favourite quotes during an almighty tangle of players in a muck and bullets Sheff Utd game in the Harry Bassett era ...
"oh I say the ball is irrelevant" (perhaps in regard to the GGPSP he would commentate " oh I say the gold is irrelevant!!" )

:))) but the 500K trade at 17.20P at 9.19 am might be your seller you were referring to

Thanks guys for posting the link earlier
Having been one to express my frustration last week at the quality of the presentation I have just watched the follow on Q&A and agree with others in saying that is a lot more like it ! Feeling more positive already and renewed enthusiasm for the day's (!!) and weeks ahead...ps "PFS for early Half 2" sounds very interesting ..are we talking August potentially ??

Muchas Gracias Paddy...saludos :)))

He sa
Total respect for you speedie but "give the man a break "?? He couldn't be arsed getting out of bed once in a blue moon for us loyal shareholders to record a piece of 3 month out of date borefest. Shocking and I am no pi "looking together in cheaper " I have c2m of these shares and I now fear idiots like viking the Greek club man will hang around even longer while we continue to drift down. People previously saying Q3 is when it will all spark and ignite are suddenly saying within 12 months....no dressing it up this was a big own goal by SD who should have a big effort to join in live .
