The way I understand it, NMC directors own most of the shares. Foreign e.g. London listing is just a way of raising some more money. So NMC can now buy up the stock at ridiculous low levels and de-list from London. What's to stop them?
I am thinking that the sp will be decimated and NMC will de-list i.e. going off with investors money...
How would one know they are doing that?
Where did u read that?
Looks like the bots have capitalised on the rise. Would be good if algo trading as well as shorting was banned.
What's behind the 1p rise today - any ideas?
One would like to think so.
Hold on - what's that little gap up about...?
Well your post was at 11:29 and now we seem to be oscillating.
Q: Where will we be at the close I wonder?
A: Up if I sell - down if I hold.
You must have a different sp chart than me
Doesn't the sp simply reflect the fact that despite being a small producer, there is a lot to prove + development risk.
Just imagine if a company was in secret cohoots with a shortseller to tank the sp so they can then do the buyback on the cheap.
It will need to rise 60% today to restore the 40% drop yesterday
Was the initial opening rise a trick to lure investors back in...?only for the sp to retreat again
They always do. This is reminiscent of QPP.
Aren't FTSE shares supposed to get suspended if they fall like this amount?
Driftking27 - why Jan?
Looking at the downward trajectory that seems sensible...
"Buy when others are fearfull...."
I am tempted to add to my considerable overweight position but fear a drop to 450 or below.
I ask myself whether it will ever get back to 500+. Looking back, the answer to that would be yes. Am I right?
My last post in HUR a week or so back said:
"I expect no real progress and any negative will knock the sp back again.
However, I continue to hold to stop the sp rising as I am confident it would do if I sold. Sorry everyone."
So I'm here to apologise.
I'm wondering if it will even get back to 160 which was my estimated ceiling, but based purely on what appears to be a misplaced positive sentiment a few weeks back.
Thing is, everything is depressed and well off the Sept-ish highs. Just look at RDSB, BP.,ULVR, DGE, NG. for example.
So against that, VOD's fall is consistent I spose.
