i think sometimes i get too fixated on the gold price which has traded in a 10% range for the last 12 months and forget the fundamentals of this company which will make very nice profits regardless

BOE is open to more qe as the uk figures out this morning were shall we say dissappointing again, mr bernanke has just reeiterated the feds stance for the foreseeable future (more qe), japan has published its intentions.....gold will shine

remember randgold will be producing more this year as kibali in the congo comes online so profits should be good even if the price of gold drops some, its all about earnings per share at the end of the day, and heres a thought as the usa/global economy improves what inevitably happens - inflation - what is the best hedge against inflation? the yellow metal..

in the space of one week citi put out three notes on randgold 7th feb neutral (target price £80), 11th feb neutral (target price £68). 15th feb sell (target price £55)........???

there is a seasonality drop in the price of gold in february due to the lunar new year and low volume from china

yeah seen that, as always though i find these analysts "experts" are late, they should have made that call a month ago, they are only reflecting what the market has already priced in imho.
