How can Canada (and London) not see today's rns as good news??
Royston is on the way
Casc deep remains a good prospect
Chinook is back on the table?? (everything crossed)
All good in my book looking forward to Royston and chinook-2 results.

Beckmans context is everything though. You have been very pessimistic this calendar year which is of course is you opinion.
For me however I have held from 23.7p so it's my best performing share over the last 14 months. Sure it wouldn't be for all but I'm have with 4 folding a share.
You said it yourself there's no point arguing, the prices that matters is what you buy and sell for nothing in between. I look forward for seeing the price I sell mine at. Hopefully in another 14 months at 4x again
Nice outline Highlandmatt seems to align with my rough estimates as well.
I am surprised to see so many people with itchy hands. For me, the next two months(ish) alone could be tranfomative. To reiterate the road map:
1) Casc Deep - Extended pressure build-up survey - min 4 weeks from 12/4 therefore could be ANY DAY NOW.
2) Chinook - Extended Well Test on pump - I'm not sure about the time frame of this as it all got a bit confusing for me.
3) Royston - Spud by the end of June (fingers crossed)
4) Coho - IMO could be quite a while as Shell seem to be playing hardball and we know the speed at which NGC gets things done.
Re Coho while I would like to see it hooked up the delay doesn't bother me too much as the gas isn't going anywhere and we have a fixed price for it.
It's easier to see the price go up than down but I've noted the LTH here have gone quiet because they know good things come to those who wait (diligently).
IMO DYOR
Haven't heard anything from danawinner, tobin or others in a while surprised they have comments on the most recent rns.
At the risk of being called a deramper again, luck counts, you state that Royston is highly likely. However, well after this time last year PB was saying that Royston had a 30% chance of success. This did rise to him saying a bit over half after chinook success but we are probably best to revert to the lower change in this case. I do tend to air on the sceptical side of realistic and being lead up the garden path with chinook as only made me more so.
Royston remains a very good prospect and I am well aware that there has been 100s of ft of 'gas effect' on logs but again we only need to look at chinook to not count our chickens before they've hatched!
Lth dyor
Monkey/other any idea how long it will take for them to install the pump at chinook and then subsequently how long will the ewt be?
Thanks monkey, you industry knowledge is a big help to "normy" like me.
My prediction of +30/40p on a good results looks a little short today. Roll on Canada and next few days. Txp likes to take a couple days before finding its new support
For those who sold on the 6th (new tax year) have just got their fund after settlement date and are buying in, in their isa's
That's what I did this morning anyway. Wtfdik dyor
LuckCounts if I was scaremongering why would I be in this for £100k+ with my last buy at 88p?
Tidd I think maybe I miss wrote what I meant. What I really meant is I will be much happier when the results are in and positive. I think we all know how it feels to be caught short - I refer you of course to Chinook-1
No Bully you are correct. The main problem with HUR was the sheer cost of each well. Here we're looking at about £5 million per well which is chips in comparison.
I'm sure casc deep will show positive results. Either way if good or bad I'm expecting it to rerate the share to the tune of 30-40p
Have a look at hurricane energy tidd they had "Verified" reserve which had problems with draw down when they put extra wells into it
Personally, I think the results from casc deep will be rather the decider for the sentiment at the moment. If it comes in the casc is pretty much 100% proved up, if not then the price will go into free fall. Not deramping just stating my opinion.
I would like to say that casc deep is a sure thing but as DB said, I've lost a lot of faith in the board at the moment.
Starbuck911 are you intentionally miss-spelling Chinook as Chinock and Kraken as cracken? I'm not trying to insult I have just seen others do it and feel I might be missing a joke?
Might seem like a simple question for some. As the sands have been tested at chinook now and show a low amount of oil does that mean that there is no gas in those areas either or does that need to be evaluated still?
Thanks. To me this RNS doesn't change much then we already knew that oil zones weren't going too well at this location from the last presentation. Don't think the market will view it well so might be a top-up opportunity
Have they test the gas zone at chinook yet ? I don't think it is written very clearly
Monkey if you follow the link in my last post it appears that rig 60 is 4500hp not 1500hp
