https://www.investegate.co.uk/thor-mining-plc--thr-/rns/usa-lithium-investment-update/201806150943405457R/ Looks like the 10% not coming our way. Still got 12 months for the 5% though so hopefully Thor add value and dispose within 12 months.
https://www.investegate.co.uk/thor-mining-plc/rns/usa-lithium-investment-update/201804101051014221K/ Not sure if already raised, but another potential 60k AUD for Pere if this Thor mining transaction completes before June 2018. Sure, its not much but every little helps!
Anyone know if the income is still hedged? Or are we benefiting from the increase in the oil price now?
Shouldn't this be at least 1p higher anyway just to match the asx?
Perhaps there's another hint in todays RNS regarding bringing people in for copper operations and specifically Uranium mining? Copper already on the books in Botswana: is there a Uranium deal in the pipeline? After the US lithium deal I got interested in CAF : Lithium is all the rage at the moment, and in the US politically, Trump is going to deregulate the mining industry and Uranium mining (In the US) could be something to watch out for? It is quite topical (with Russia owning 20% of US reserves), plus most of the reserves are in republican strongholds like Wyoming, Utah, Arizona etc (part of Lithium deal done here). He needs to sure up his electoral support so "bringing jobs back" as he keep banging on about will involve job creation in industries like mining. Anyway politics aside, happy to have the new guy on board. His hedge fund past will (I believe) give us access to a whole new world of contacts, financing and skills sets that can assess in detail the feasibility's of a project technically, alongside get an Rto done in the coming months.
Agree. He's so not an accountant either! Asset management, Hedge funds- sounds more like an ex investment banker to me.
Agree they are an advisory firm, meaning they have looked at the detail of a variety of projects. That's not to say that every single person in the company works on JORC's etc. There will be a client relationship division where directors/managers will "project mange" by assigning the relevant technical skills/people to the project and keeping clients happy. They also will reach out to new clients to market their work, and with over 200+ projects perhaps one can conclude they are actually pretty good. Just my opinion, but lets see.
Think people selling here are may regret it - taking a look at the projects Behre Dolbear have been involved in, and the breadth of Sectors including Mining co's, Banks, Accountants etc the contacts that the new CEO brings to the table will be incredible .This is across China and Africa and the rest of the world. Addditionally, as these guys are specialists in all technical info across all mining areas, they must like the 2 projects in announced recently in the last 2 weeks. v Interesting
Personally found the results a little underwhelming. I suppose it is the legacy issues like you say which resulted in a 14m write down of nimini plus 16m on regalis. I guess now thats out of the way the only way should hopefully be up through 2017. Do completely agree though re Sharia gold - opens up a whole new world!
Was expecting them today - maybe tomorrow? Perhaps there are a few more $ bills than usual to count. lol
Nice one hibby! Think soon it will really show that we got in at a real low there with the oil price and all at the time.
Not taking too seriously, but for any chartists 12-14p in 3 -4 months. I'd take that! http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/stocktube/6586/polo-resources-shares-tipped-to-reach-12-14p-in-coming-months-6586.html
Yeah seems like the share price has gone to sleep - but at least we seem to have found a new base, and agree this year has seen us move in the right direction with macro factors back in our favour. Looks like MB's 8p prediction is going to be the closest with not many trading days left this year. I'm still holding onto some hope that our results v soon ( my guess is Monday next week) will give us a late surge taking us to double figs. But its just hope...2017 is when we realistically will get there.
Yeah interesting stuff. The 9th should be too if Russia and other non OPEC get on board and get close to that 600k target. Will be good news for Hibs!! ( and regalis if anything is happening there!). Do wonder how this will affect US oil though as have a couple of shares there and this is only a 6 month deal. Obviously it'll rise over the next few months but then when new shale producers slowly come back on stream wonder if OPEC will increase production to lower the price and start a new game...
Yeah tend to agree. Their influence is nowhere near where it was say 40 years ago. It does affect the prices short term, though ie over the next year or so, but if prices rise then a lot of the US shale producers come back on stream and some of those projects start to look interesting. US oil is where its at...88e in particular is a story that has excited me for the last year or so...
Important OPEC meeting today and then on Wednesday regarding production cuts. Apparently all in fighting and no deal imminent - cant see how it benefits anyone including Russia to not agree production cuts. Could well be a strategy by Saudi to lower expectations and then come up as a saviour at the last minute maximising impact on the oil price on the upside. Interesting nonetheless
Ah.. cheers
