"Valuation. Using DCF methodology, with cautious long-term assumptions
we find value of at least 30p per share for Kibo, but discount this by 50%
given the uncertainty factors. This highlights just how undervalued Kibo
shares are currently, thus we initiate research coverage with a Buy
recommendation and near-term target price of 15p, but longer-term, see
no reason why the stock cannot reflect its true value of at least 30p per
share. "
Im not sure I agree boffer because we have never attributed any Haneti value towards the Kibo SP. Back then we always stated that the only value in the SP was the MCPP and everything else was nil. 200k is a bonus in fact.
750m possibly yes if we had to invest $50m into it first.
Wonder what this means? I dont know of any clean coal power stations in Tanzania on the border with Moz.
"Zimbabwe has among the largest coal deposits in Africa. Tanzania has a new plant on the border with Mozambique and Kenya is building its first near Lamu on the coast. South Africa is a leading exporter and gets more than 90% of its own power from coal."
Like this one too:
"Bada said the cost of electricity has become a political issue around the globe “and a lack of power comes up at every election right across the developing world.” Economies in Asia, Africa and the Middle East “will not stop using fossil fuel, no matter what activists in New York or London may say so the task is to make it cleaner,” Bada said"
For the derampers still doubting the use of Coal. Yes speaking to Chimp, Lurker, Mice and the like walking around with dead brain cells.

Fair points. For us average p investors we know very little about what makes or breaks these kinds of business i.e What makes some more attractive than others. Kenyan power companies go for 100's of millions where as others go for pocket change.
There is a major shortage of coal in southern Africa but I suppose its not as simple as just digging it up and moving it. Best scenario would definitely be to dig it up and pump it into a power station next door.
Agreed Boffer but how do you expect to break even selling 8000 tonnes per month.
We have companies in Bots like Minergy ready to sell 1.2m tonnes per annum and to double that volumes if the coal price is sustained at $100 or more.
Makes you wonder what the eff EDL are are up to. Funding their lifestyles perhaps?
Imagine what all our coal will be worth when we get the ML and SML?
