‘Notice’ of the results date came around 2 weeks before along with notice of the webinar presentation.

Last year final results were on 20th May, so I am assuming it will be around the same date this year.

Some decent buys today and even the later reported 2 or 3 sells were likely buys looking at the SP at that time.

I guess a few are topping up a bit ahead of next month’s Final results (2024) & annual report in the expectation of almost certain good news.

‘Good News’ that is ….. in comparison to most of the rest of the industry.

So maybe some steady buying from now until report’s are published.

Wow ….. So the CEO & CFO both get a large tranche of free shares from a performance related bonus scheme.

Just imagine how many more shares they would have got if the company actually performed well !!

It needs a change in sentiment towards this share.

Right now with a succession of large losses and a direction of change that the majority of its customer’s don’t like, it’s difficult to see that sentiment changing.

Add to that the lack of leadership within doesn’t help either.

Lammtarra…..I think you are right, but they may be reluctant to sell if they are sat on a loss currently. Being trapped with a loss give’s you two options…. either sit it out and pray or sell up and try to trade your way back with a better available option !! DYOR

A great update in a market that has appeared to be fairly flat.

This proves to me that LIKE are taking a lot of market share from its biggest competitor whilst growing organically in its infrastructure.

When one is making big losses and one is making gains, the pendulum appears to be swinging in the LIKE direction.

I think possibly one of you is referring to turnover and the other talking actual financial losses.

The losses are greater than the T/o deficit.

Two very different things.

I agree, the whole infrastructure appears to be growing and strengthening all the while.

So far, just that a bunch of independent sales agents were let go from some of the brands.

Not sure which brands though. The commercial brand JHS lost some employed reps last week I believe.

Not head about any other redundancies as yet.

All sales staff from across their branded business have been summonsed to a meeting 20/3 where more restructuring of the sales force is likely to be announced. Almost certainly more redundancies as they have to cost cut following the huge losses.

Great to see 20p on the bid.

It would be good for that to be a new base level and gradually move higher up the 20s during the rest of January.

Another very positive trading update.

Positive because the whole industry, almost without exception, is well down in both turnover and profitability. There is still so much natural growth as well additional market share from its competitor’s to come here. Add to that an expected improving housing market , I believe we will then see the ‘short term’ turnover target of Circa £200m being achieved comfortably.

You are right , I am ‘half empty’ with this share right now, although I understand the ‘traders’ excitement.

I have been in and out of this one over the years and had some successes. I have had my fingers burnt trading in the past, so I like to go long these days. So it’s the long term prospects that bother me due to the massive debt.

I may post negatively to try to offset the incessant ramping that goes on. I feel for those that can get spiked by such talk.

I do agree that this is a short term opportunity to make a few quid but they are in a right royal mess financially and I’d rather read balanced posts.

Looks like profit taking for now, so a likely drift down to mid 50’s by close of play on Tuesday IMO.

Wow… When did the MD buy £2m worth ?

Well it looks like all the excitement is over until the next trading update.

I think this will ‘flatline’ now unless there are any sell offs within the group that may swing momentum one way or the other.?

It was Rns’d recently that Andrew Simpson was selling a large ‘tranche’ to allow room for an Institutional Investor/s to buy in.

That is certainly what is needed to get this share moving IMO.

At this low price, I can see the attraction of ii’s to this share.
