I can’t help but feel that’s big news but can’t figure out to what end they need to appoint the giant vampire squid ?
Improve BP’s standing in the US after years of **** ups since the Deepwater disaster?
Usual price action ahead of going x-div . Look at the daily SP chart for May 2020 & 2021, plus a lot of selling pressure removed by the buyer of 10% of issued share capital. I would like to see the price back to 142p , but I am a long term holder so not a seller.
Page, Was a great job with every day, hour a new challenge and exciting. Sadly compliance became a massive issue. No prob if you lost money but if you got it right then you had to prove you weren’t inside. Guilty until you could prove innocent. Grinds you down after 30; years
Shame the SP couldn’t hold above 130p after good numbers from T-Mobile on Wednesday.
With so many recession fears you would think Vodafone SP would at least be steady . Maybe a short term pullback with cash going back into NASDAQ/Tech for now.
Looks like the market is now searching for the next institutional selling level after the little dip in SP this morning shook out a seller of 399k shares @199p. Fingers crossed the IM’s get greedy and want greater than 223p
I have also held this stock for many years. When the SP gets up to 240p I will start to let some go, and if they drop back below 190p I will accumulate a few. In the medium term the shares will grind higher as there are now fewer woke institutional holders, and the fundamentals are strong.
Wokinpark, I’m not entirely sure as MS and Blackrock seem to be swapping holdings and both registered offices are Wilmington USA. Difficult to decipher exactly what Blackrock were doing but guess something to do with their capital gains tax position at the end of financial year , and the tender offer.
Wokinpark, MS & JPM are acting alternatively as principle, for the company buyback. As principle is key because they are buying stock and taking it onto their own book thus not having to pay stamp duty because they are registered market makers. They then sell the stock at the average price paid plus commissions to the company for cancellation. Probably acting for one week each on an alternative basis and book out the trade at the end of each week, therefore they accrue a holding , which they have to disclose before selling to the company and holding drops to zero.
