Seen it many a time over over the last 50 odd years. When panic buying sets in people forget all about the fundamentals and grab the shares when they can and at any price . Remember Polly Peck going from 8p to £36 a share - Asil Nadir was it ? All he did from memory was import oranges from Turkey wasn’t it or something like that ? Also Poseidon in the late 1960’s went to £140 a share !! A certain “titled “customer of ours at the Bank in Tewkesbury sold 10000 of them earlier at £80 a share and was livid !! She reckoned she had just lost £600k not sold them for £800k so anything can happen at certain times . In the late 60’s those of us will recall you could buy 200 4-bed detached houses for £800K !
