another 52 week high & broker ratings looking at 300 target. I think this will also be my target to off load some of my holding 250 by end of next week ? Feb is certainly going to be a very interesting time for the bank sector.

I am fairly certain it will keep going with interest rates going back to normal levels & divis returning to pre covid levels I can see 300 + by end of year. oops another 52 week high this morning 244.60 may hit 250 by monday at this rate.

Reason to be cheerful you mean yep expecting a bumper dividend year from the bank sector. but I think the price will rise here steadily in new year on the chance of a special divi so win win.

Market still very buoyant industry people believe there will be no respite for 1st part of 2022 just purely on how much work is already booked in in some cases more than 3 months ahead.

feel sorry for you checkrik sounds like you need to read a few self help books NWG one of my best performers in p/F since buying most of my holding NWG 16 month ago or so hold most banks but been buying on crazy lows , I already had a low b/e on Lloy my biggest holding so very happy with events. Hardup now 6 posts !!!!!!!!

Agreed I am pretty certain BofE will raise rates as they don't want to be seen spineless like the last numpty in charge & seems the most sensible thing to do to level the economy. I can't believe how many people claim a small raise in rates will bankrupt them. still some junior investors out there who think this is going to drop like a stone. amateurs ! NWG nearly recovered as well & just bought into Barclays 1st thing touch . Bank sector a non brainer at the mo.

They have performed great for me in last 14 months but even though they couldnt report it they are hoping the fine will be halved as they admitted guilt. I am very sure this bank will still be travelling north until the end of the year. Must admit happy for share price to stay low as I just re-invest currently. But I bet this will be +250 by xmas

I'm Sauf east London but trading in the stock market doesn't give a hoot about your poor English , investing language is international well apart from the sweaties ! But whole heartedly agree with you hightrack. PPI , covid & Brexit just played into the hands of every serious investors game plan. It def put my retirement plans ahead a year to two. But be careful not to upset the lefties & guardian readers on here. 100 probably a bit ambitious for this year but when things settle down it will happen may be next year ! Diversify I have quite a large gold / silver coin collection all secreted throughout my house .
In the early 90s I used to buy 10 gold sovereign every month for £450-500 in charing cross . Same shop still there bet they cant tax that ! One of best investments i ever made though !
