The way that RNS is written suggests that this is a done deal; that they're not expecting any more offers.

It reads as if the Directors received less than 80% of votes at the last AGM so this is a **** you from them.

But I'd be happier to **** off the BoD for fresh management than sell at this price!

It sounds like the writer was invited to watch the production of HDPE (see 21 June 21). Hopefully this means there's some orders coming through.

I reckon we're in for some laddering downwards until they've reached their target price, hence all the algobot automatic trades. A bit depressing but I hold in the knowledge that true value always wins in the end.

Marble Bar have have notified of a 0.5% short position. Seems high risk given the positive results, Director Buys at £2.50 and potential as a buyout target.

Perhaps they think they can shake more of the TP sellers out?

All I'd add is that the additional shares are at a cost to his company of c.£7m and it is a strong signal of his confidence in a growing share price As good as a Director's Buy. Onwards and upwards!

Some positives from the interims announced in Feb 21 to Dec 20 to the unaudited final results announced today to Jun 21:

Revenue at Dec 20 was £1.28m. Revenue at Jun 21 was £2.90m, an increase of £1.62m (a 27% increase on the prior 6 months).

Furthermore, cash at Dec 20 was £1.88m, reduced to £1.64m at Jun 21. That's a cash burn of £40k pcm, down massively on historical figures.

In fact, you could surmise that cash flow break even isn't a million miles away looking at those figures.

Sellers are taking their profits today but make no mistake, this is Showdown at the OK Corral, it's Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

No doubt, Don. I reckon it may be because they're saving good news for publication of disappointing results.

They've done that the last few updates. However, I like the current strategy... it would appear that they want to be a supplier of raw materials rather than an end product Company. Hence the £1m loan in April to increase production capacity.

Could 21/22 be a transformative year? Fingers crossed, pal.

Back down the Haydale rabbit hole I've delved, which is my wont of a Wednesday evening, and it appears that a golden nugget has been unearthed.

No idea, BB. It's not often one sees a short squeeze, they usually get what they want. I certainly wouldn't short at this level given historical support at £8 but Systematica obviously fancy it. Time will tell if they've called it right or been overly greedy.

A squeeze would be magic, mind.

My understanding is thus.

The PLC has c.95,550,000 shares. Systematica's short position is 1.01%.

Systematica have therefore borrowed and sold c.965,055 shares that they have to purchase at some point in the future. They make their margin by selling at a lower price than when they borrowed and sold them (plus any commission due to the market maker).

They are therefore betting that the SP will fall further (and one would guess significantly further).

Systematica have upped their short position to 1.01% as of 19 July. Sub 800 increase - Incredible. They believe that BP will crumble like wet cake. At this point they're not looking far wrong.
