There’s so many cars at start of production in 2024 plus generation 3 fleet, and one day a big aviation contract.
I don’t think we will recognise the company or SP in a years time.
The main problem is generating enough electric to run all these cars, and of course enough charging points.
I watched a video testing a Mustang , Mercedes, bmw, and Tesla basically doing the same route from the south of Uk to Scotland . The same speed following each other, heater set the same untill they ran out of power and basically stopped, only Mercedes did 324 miles the rest under 300
Personally I belive lighter cars with smaller engines which are more economical is the way forward with a DMS of course.
Cars are not the problem for Co2 is big industry mainly in China, India, USA , parts of Europe.
A friend of mine who drives a lot all over the Uk in a company car said he liked to drive and electric cars just don’t feel the same, plus the problem of finding charging points and time wasted while charging. He has a bmw at the moment, with capability to do 27 miles on electric mode, it’s a tax dodge and a gimmick, but fine for the local shops.
I’m personally sticking to conventional cars for as long as possible too.
Hopefully a nice one once our SP changes.
The last 2 letters show which country it’s from there’s no problem with the site.
You two are a double act. Perhaps same person?
I haven’t heard a single post from David that’s positive so assume he’s here to try to keep the price down.
You both must have done research? No? So why did you invest? Or didn’t you.
A bit of guess work going on there.
The most important thing is we are going into all the new models, and the quantity of models they build. Over time extras or features can be updated at a cost OTA and the newer ones will probably have them included anyway.
We have to watch the KPI’s and see the moment building.
There’s no point the same people moaning it only has a negative effect on new or shaky investors checking out the company.
On the subject of guardian gen 3, it was stated working with European OEMs for the last 12 months to find a solution to the EU law changes, and set to be ready when they come into effect in 2024.
So they can be fitted after the trucks are made at the factory, so the manufacturer and customers are compliant when the trucks leave the factory.
That’s probably the large 100k unit RFQs and a really good chance we will win a large percentages of these, I don’t see any competition for large orders for us.
Thanks, that will fill my afternoon.
Did we have a link to that event? I must have been busy as can’t remember seeing it. Thanks
That’s interesting because if the older units won’t have remote monitoring and they are basically telling the operators to upgrade, which would probably be late generation 2 ,4 g enabled or soon to be Generation 3.
Could be a lot of extra sales for fleet to existing customers.
I think that’s the first positive post you have done david, well done and hope we see a lot more from you.
Unfortunately you have a lot of worries David, perhaps invest in larger companies or investment trusts and spread your risk.
It’s surprising when you look at many small companies how many people winge about the SP.
People are not prepared to wait they want it today.
I see it for us as 2024 being a transformational year and profits rising, gen 3, aircraft orders announced unfortunately I can’t predict the SP but silently waiting.
Seeing 2030, that’s why Paul has stated it’s getting late to make a decit For OEM’s
I imagine a lot of the company’s have been in talks, it’s highly likely that Magna with the mirror solution will get a high percentage, easy to fit with no redesigning of the dashboard.
Qualcomm also as we are on their snapdragon platform, it’s up to the OEM to say if they want to use us.
Things are delayed I imagine most OEM’s already know who they are going to use and work in progress. I also imagine Paul knows this too, hence the large number of new employees over the last 18 months.
Compare that to smart eye who have been cutting staff.
Who would you go for?
You have to factor in new Contracts once they arrive.
The guardian 3 and mobileye deal really kicking in for 2024 calendar year.
Any aviation contracts and we are certainly due one ( Italian presentation)
So I don’t think we can rule anything out re the price, once it moves it may keep going as people jump on board. I’m expecting more than the teens.
It was 875 k at the last set of KPI’ s early may so imagine 940? Now, next month a million cars on the road.
I think Paul is a pretty straight talker but he has no control over when anything is announced. The fact that Paul, martin Ive and Kate have all been buying is a strong sign of what they know is happening. As shareholders unfortunately we get impatient and disgruntled but everything from cars, trucks and Aviation look set for a stellar 12- 24 months.
So a RFQ?
So if so I guess that would take a while to get a contract and may have been delayed untill this was announced.
Can anyone remember or still have a copy of the Italian video.
Was the monitoring for 300;aircraft just a RFQ or in the pipeline?
One reason for the delay could be the deal with Magna and the new mirror with DMS inside it, perhaps many OEM’s are rethinking which system to use especially when the mirror was expected to take 50% of the market and also the cheapest system to install without major changes to the dashboard.
Magna never invested in us for the fun of it.
I expect this will all unfold to our benefit.
