Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Well said Bannor, Frankie was treated shamefully by a couple of bullies, hiding, as you say, behind their anonymity, like a couple of playground bullies pulling the wings off a fly. They should be ashamed of themselves for their disgusting behaviour.
I always looked forward to her gentle and idiosyncratic musings. She and her contributions to this board are greatly missed.
Wherever you are, Frankie, best wishes.
Sad news indeed Barksy 1. I remember Denver 21 and reading his posts with interest from the early days on this board. . A terrible life-sapping condition, and an awful loss for his wife and family. Please pass on my sincere condolences.
Gary25 thanks for the response. Yes it was of course Frankie I was referring to. She is missed, certainly by me, and I'm sure by many others. A great shame indeed.
Mrs B the next time you are in touch with Frankie, please give her our best wishes and regards.
Banner you are of course absolutely correct, even childish and pathetic bullies must try to appear threatening and intimidating lol:-))
If this is not considered too off topic, you may be interested to know that my local council, Wandsworth, have just announced they will be introducing 28 new vehicles, electric and hybrid, with some vehicles leased, with the intention of replacing them over the next three years as technology improves. This is partly to comply with new standards to be introduced in 2021 for the Low Emissions Zone, and the Ultra Low Emissions Zone.
While I am on I would point out that the standards on this board seem to be deteriorating. There was the awful event some weeks ago, when two bully-boys hounded off the board, in an appalling manner, a contributor, whose posts I invariably found to be amusing and humane, if not always on topic. And where do the rules of the board state that all posts have to adhere to one person's idea of what is acceptably on-topic?
And now this week a group are making personal, and intimidating attacks on individuals, justifying their cowardly and unacceptable behaviour in the name of free speech!
Yes, you can say anything you like, but you have to do it in a way that treats people with courtesy and respect. Anything else makes you nothing but an unpleasant bully.
Like JBT I am a regular reader of this BB, but do not feel I have anything worthwhile to contribute to the various topics. I usually enjoy the posts, even when there is disagreement, as it is normally dealt with in a polite manner. I was concerned to see the (in my view) unnecessary and spiteful attacks on FrankieH, and hope the people responsible for them have not had her removed from this board, for their own small-minded satisfaction. I always enjoy her posts, even when off topic, and look forward to their resumption. If they are not resumed she will be greatly missed.
I'm a LTH in Kdnc, Bcn & Emh, and have been following these chat boards for about 5 years. I've never felt the need to contribute, particularly as I have no great knowledge of share dealing, technology or shipping procedures, so cannot offer any knowledge or guidance. I enjoy reading the contributions of others however, whether knowledgeable, humorous or frivolous, or any combination of the above , and find most postings informative or amusing. I also appreciate the (mostly) good natured attitudes of the contributors. There is a fine line between being honest and frank and being hurtful and rude, and I 'm disappointed to see that line crossed. The filter button is there to block contributors . Please use it.
