Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
A million shares bought in 4 tranches of 250k.
Someone looking to make a profit when the deal is completed? Or looking to build a position?
Pangloss - character in Voltaire's book Candide. A philosopher who thought 'everything was for the best in this best of all possible worlds.'
No.3.
What are the new share incentive schemes? And should we be voting against this?
Second that also.
Did you mention in your letter to the FCA the allegations of SP manipulation, keeping the price down in order to make the 'possible offer' seem generous?
They are only suspicions, but sufficiently widely held to be mentioned. Imo.
I Understand D&A are also managed by Graham Edwards.
When I last looked they had 4.728M shares, @1.23%.
Well done indeed, Dee 12345.
I wondered if, in any further contact with the media, we should mention the allegations of manipulation of the share price, which have left such a nasty taste in the mouth.
I sent mails to the company and to M&G last week and received fairly bland responses.
Yesterday I sent further emails to both the company and M&G. I have also joined Dee12345's WhatsApp group.
I'm a LTH since 2014, with 50K shares at an average of 51p, and will be voting against the bid as and when it should ever come.
Oops, I did in fact have a response from M&G last night, which I had overlooked. It was an automatic response, but promised to reply within 3 working days. So, watch this space!
By the by I didn't think Peter Secker, as CEO, and Mark Hohnen, as Chairman, were considered as Independent Directors.
I sent an email to M&G yesterday also, but am still waiting for a response.
I had the same response also, sent last night at 20.56, so Kelly is working overtime.
Are we likely to get further updates in the near future?0
Nice layout Strangerstill and NomadicInvestor. Thank you.
I am a LTH here, since 2014, in the name of my wife, and despite the roller coaster ride we have been on, was fairly sure that it would pay off well in the end., forecasting anything from £2 to £5 or even beyond. Plus our money was invested in the future, helping to give the world a greener environment. So that felt good also.
However this 'possible offer' by Ganfeng at a price of 67.5p, while it gives us a small profit, does not seem right. Whether the allegations of sp manipulation are correct or not, they are certainly possible. And we cannot see why the directors, or at least the independent directors, are backing it. Is it possible that Ganfeng has made some sort of threat if the offer falls through? Possibly going slow on the development of the mine or something like that, which could cost the directors. Any thought?
Whatever the situation, we, and our 50,000 shares, will certainly be voting against the offer.
EMH has just announced it is to adopt the ESG Framework.
At the least I would guess this would raise the company's profile, which shouldn't do any harm to the SP!
The statement says that the Independent Directors are for the offer. Does that mean that other directors, the Chairman and the CEO for instance, are not?
If the IIs hold @32% of shares, and 75% is needed to complete the deal, there's no way it can go through without their agreement. Particularly M&G, who I understand paid far more than the offer price, so why would they agree?
....price.
Will not be voting for this.
A derisory offer, seemingly manipulated with the placement price, and then presented as 50% in excess of current trading price.
As a lth I was hoping for@£5 plus at some point in the future, or a takeover before then at a lower, but still reasonable
I'm beginning to be caught up in the excitement of news of shipping our ore coming imminently, but does anyone have any thoughts on whether the blockage in the Suez Canal, with consequent problems to world shipping rippling out across the globe, delays, rerouting etc, might have any effect on 'our' ships?
It would be great to see you again, Frankie.
As Barksy1 says, the SP is moving (as are those of BCN & EMH), and things seem at long last to be achanging, for the better, I might add.
In any event, a very Happy New Year to you and yours.
Thank you Cause , very reasonable and well reasoned post.
And thanks eric, always enjoy your amusing and witty posts, particularly your exchanges with masterbaker.
I cannot understand these fascist posters who want to close down everybody they disagree with. It's a completely irrational attitude.
