Hi Ziggy – If I read your message correctly you would prefer a website that is more of a library that showcases the main points of the various cases that have concluded or are still in play.
I don’t fully get your last point – are you saying the argument against your library idea is that it might give ZM an easy place to access these public record documents?
AGBR – thanks for the referral. I would imagine even if the war ended tomorrow, the company would have a hard time normalizing their Russian business to allow for a relist. I looked at their website and it is interesting that their investor page is restricted to shareholders. But if the chatter on the BB is anything to go by, holders seem relatively content given the situation, they are getting a special dividend and it looks like some degree of regular reporting from the company. I didn’t go into too much detail but it seems, even relative to listed shares, they have a somewhat healthy relationship with their shareholders despite the challenges the war has brought to them.
WhamBoy - just to clarify that first point, after asking them about comms what feels like 1,000 times and getting the "two factors" comment, I feel their is no point to ask again. If there is a deviation from "two factors" I will be right back at them.
WHamBoy - tell that friend of yours I will answer all their points as below!
I no longer ask them about communication (as in "why don't" you say something even if its just a repeat of what you have already said" type stuff) because they have stated the so called "two factors" that need to be resolved first.
I am, as you say, trying to ascertain what we might expect based on how other delisted companies interact with their shareholders. It's always easier to make a case for something with supporting evidence. Unfortunately I am not having much luck finding like-for-like comparisons.
I do not think we have passed the point for direct comms. The time to worry (more) is if the prime litigation ends and they stay silent.
For all the talk about formal comms I don't know what people expect in terms of detail.
I looked at the three companies mentioned by Baramara and RogerA – DOR / NUOG / LION. I don't think they can be benchmarked against FRC because:-
- No ongoing litigation that I could see but perhaps some in the past.
- All three companies stated in their suspension RNS's their intent to return to market.
- Two of the three look to be preparing to return to market.
- Two of the three provide regular updates on their websites, which seems to be in line with the statutory reporting requirements of the markets on which they are planning to relist.
I only spent a few mins on this and I appreciate each of these companies have their own specific issues so the above is just a broad takeaway.
Thanks RogerA - I will take a quick look at those as well.
lifeishard - more times than i can remember though for me it is more top line stuff ie why don't you communicate more broadly. it's only now i am thinking about the message delivery system they might employ and how we can assess it.
****nal221 - thanks, i typed in dor ins the search tab here but nothing came up. will give your way a try.
jv123 - sorry to hear you don't trust anyone, that is not nice feeling. suffice to say there is a remarkable effort going on behind the scenes that has helped to secure your holding and ensured zm was brought to account despite the fact he had effectively gutted the company rendering it worthless. as we change from litigation to....something else we should focus on how that landscape might look and how we might feel about that.
Ziggy – of course.
It might be something, might be nothing, but it might be informative to see how other private companies communicate with their shareholders. i.e. frequency and method of communications, depth of data, interaction, ability to trade shares and so on.
There might (equally might not) be a pattern that we can benchmark against once comms actually begin, or at least help set expectations.
Also, I assume people think comms will be via RNS-R, but is that how most private companies communicate? An RNS-R must come via an “authorized body” according to the (other) LSE website. So, it might be useful to see which bodies some of these private companies use to handle their messaging. Basically, how easy / hard is it to issue an RNS-R.
People forever banging on about comms never seem to articulate in detail what type of comms they expect nor offer any reference point for comparison. There is more credibility in presenting this type of info than just clutching your pearls in endless outrage. It’s all about the data, assuming it shows us something useful.
This also assumes the company plans to continue as a private going concern, of course other outcomes are also possible.
No problem, lets see if others have some suggestions
Yes I mean ASX as well - the website was last updated over a year ago, thanks again.
Thanks baramara - I couldn't find a page for it here on LSE but its website says it is still listed on AEX, maybe the site is out of date.
I should have added - also ideally have delisted prior to the FRC delist
Does anyone know of any delisted companies that are -
- ex-AIM,
- not temporarily suspended due to AIM rules,
- declared they intend to operate as a private company,
- and ideally, has an active page here on LSE
Thanks
Abkaz - lol.
But nice use of the word "we". Subtle move.
Thats a great find cymro1864.
I wonder if she rubbed shoulders with SN who was still very involved with the Atlantic Council at the time.
Jv123 - and this really is my last post on this. In your last 20 posts "discussing' FRC you are in fact discussing me in 13 of them. That should baffle anyone.
Hi Lifeishard - It is just another cycle of troll like activity. They post, then get a reply, then try to twist is as though they are being attacked / offended / insulted and its other party that is the issue, accuse any replier as touchy / rude / has ulterior motives to try and ferment division, then go quiet for a while, then try to start the whole thing again. It's incessant on other boards so we are lucky in that regard.
Regarding court news, there should be some movement in August - barring any continuance - in Mourant v SN. As FRC v Mourant settled out of court, let's hope that was a global settlement that covers this case as well.

Jv123 - its a little bit bonkers the number of posts you have talking about me. You are either courting me for information with - "To help me sleep better at night, could you elaborate further" or complaining about me.
A pity you couldn't use that time constructively researching for information or trying to make inroads with the company yourself. If you can't be bothered then don't feel affronted when people who do make the effort present information here. If you don't want to rely on me for information, then don't.
You would be more credible if you popped on and asked "anyone have a project I can take on that I can devote some time to so we can better understand our situation?".
So please change track as your present course of action is helping no one. I won't reply to these why-oh-why messages anymore and hope you are able to find the info you are looking for.
Thanks toatie and hope you are keeping well.
