it certainly does - having to tell posters that an investment in purchases Lloyds shares is no different to any other investment.

There isn't - spare capital is being invested in Lloyds shares - no different to capital being spent on an acquisition investment or taking a stake in a company.
The key obviously is determining whether an investment is made at a good price level.
Any Lloyds shareholder that doesn't think that Lloyds at these levels is money well spent, needs to SELL their shares.

It sounds like the Ukrainians have proper soldiers willing to fight for their country as opposed to the Afgan 'army' waving the white flag as soon as possible against the Taliban.

I was hoping that the Ukrainians would put up a stiff fight. The more the people of Russia know of what is going on the better . Heavy Russian casualties may make things a bit more uncomfortable for Putin in Russia.

The indigenous people of the British isles were/are white.
It was ethnic white British. Didn't need 'white' in my original post as it was obvious when comparing numbers with some non white London population.

I didn't say it was - an earlier post I mentioned 2 of them.
What I did say is the indigenous/ ethnic white British population is now a minority in London.
I gave an alternative name for London to reflect the fact that it is no longer white British where many do not consider themselves as British first and indeed English not being their first language.
I live in London. i am probably the only ethnic white Englishman in my road.
