A week is a long time in politics - we have about another year to go for a General election.
Do not read too much into by-elections, especially when a lot of voters didn't want to leave home for it.
Also we had in the past , UKIP and BREXIT party votes making an impact on seat outcomes.
We now have the REFORM party, where the vast majority of votes would have come from previous Conservative voters.
The 'reform' votes were more than the differentials in the CON/LAB votes.
Where 'reform' run in the General election will be taking away votes mainly from the Conservatives. They need to have that in mind if they do not want Labour in power.
I would put the Conservatives as favourites to regain the seats lost yesterday in the GE.
