50 is just another number, which the current share price is close to.

shares don't go up in a straight line continuously. The shares have gone up a lot in a short space of time.

the 50 number was sailed through in Jan 2022 and Jan 2023.

Selling non performing assets is a plus.

simplifying the business, with concentration on profit making areas is a plus.

Merger with 'three' is a plus.

Buybacks are a plus.

Halving the dividend is a plus.

Debt levels are very manageable at relatively low rates, and the option to reduce the debt levels as they have been doing already is there to do if a benefit.

Yes - they were so excited, that they have slipped it out early - saves specialisation for a couple of months - the split in allocation is what I was anticipating. I am guessing that buybacks would continue beyond the 4 Billion already announced if that was still the best option at the time, re pricing

The FCA - they don't mind making retrospective rule changes and then applying them to have the possibility of compensation.

I had my first mortgage with the Halifax and still had my 'passbook' account when switching mortgage provider. I lost patience waiting for the Halifax to float so took my money out and closed account and thus missing out on free shares. I did though purchase Halifax shares after flotation (they did rather well at one stage). Maybe I should make a complaint about not getting free Halifax shares after being a member for X years, whereas some 'carpetbaggers' got freebies for being a member for a matter of a few weeks.

Nearly back up to my last sale price on 4th November 2022.

Unlikely to sell anymore this side of £30 without a further low priced purchase (under £20)

Btw algorithms don't have psychological problems, but may have been constructed to take into account any psychological problems that human may have, along with other market data they use to determine their trades.

Any market cap level can be a resistance level. These levels may in some part be controlled by algorithms which are also used for high frequency trading.
