ALL share buybacks for cancellation work/do what they are supposed to do - to reduce share capital.

Shares bought back and held in treasury can then be used for staff schemes or cancelled.

Any investor should know what the purpose of share buybacks are - I personally have already said about 300 times. They ALWAYS meet their objective.
