I hope so in the long run, but this top up was a lot higher than that made on
3rd Oct 2022 (about 82p)
Has come down a lot since my over £4 sale on 12th May 2021.
Just a shame I didn't sell a lot more then. I also started buying back too soon from that sale. I need a decent rise from the current level to get back on track.
This is currently a laggard in my portfolio alongside Marstons.
Needs to finish above 8,012.53 to be a new all time closing high.

have you no other record to play - the current one is completed scratched and no longer worth listening to.

''especially as I am no longer young with time on my side.''
yes you cannot take it with you. If anyone has complete freedom and would get pleasure from spending any wealth built up, probably good for those people to do so.

'' Don't tell porkies Tea Boy . You trip at every level.''
Point me to the posts that say that you have just bought Lloyds at 24p and nwg at 109p.
Point me to my posts where 'I trip up at every level'

NO
You invested £500 in Metro and a small amount in another company.
The rest you decided to keep as cash earning an average 4% after a year waiting a a big stock market crash - enjoy

''Are you calling RNS liars''
??
I said YOU are incorrect
''Read the full message again''
No need, it will still make you incorrect
Brix
how has that come about - what you come out with, simply cements what I think about your mindset.
Brix
You hold zero Lloyds shares. You invested £500 in Metro and a small amount in another company.
The rest you decided to keep as cash earning an average 4% after a year waiting a a big stock market crash - enjoy

''The UK market is still cheap''
yes and has been for many years and may continue that way (who knows) , which is why I have been happy to invest year after year.
Compounding over decades has worked wonders.

''I'm holding some ''
why hold ANY holding of a business that you consider a donkey - you need to keep comments in alignment with actions.
Raf
You mean you have tossed a coin. Vodafone was drifting, waiting for May 14th.
Today is a catch up from that drift helped with the UK market being at/near record highs.
In a few week period the price may or may not drift again - the market if maintaining a high level should help the vodafone price in that period.
Jcb
anyone who is calling Lloyds banking group 'a donkey' should not be holding any shares, especially when that someone can exit at a profit - logical don't you think.
Ftse 100 may have a new all time closing high today
''Possible leak of Merger ?''
Once again, nothing much to see here until May 14th
ftse 100 is currently only about 12 points from an all time intraday high

''Can't understand why folk buy this''
??
the dividend yield is above the ftse average, and is more than twice covered by earnings. In addition, share buybacks for cancellation would help with any progression of the dividends paid per share.
Is currently near to an all time high index level, but the UK market is still at a very cheap P/E level

yes, the final was calculated when cable was at about 1.24856
current rate about 1.2318
Current above an all time high closing level

''Grrr - new gap this AM
19th-22nd April 24 - 51.08p - New gap''
meaningless - only means something to those with some sort of OCD
