Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
The point they are forgetting is that by the time a compulsory liquidation takes place the SISP process should either be concluded or far enough along to know if any value will be derived. If it can be determined that the SISP will give value then RMM UK won’t be insolvent so liquidation won’t be necessary. If the SISP doesn’t give value, who cares that compulsory liquidation costs more, we’ll having nothing anyway. This RNS is purely designed to scare shareholders into submission imho
No bun fight
@Fukurokuju9
1) the MAC was announced pre Easter….. doesn’t affect the SISP
2) Correct, as announced pre Easter
3) of course not because a sales is not guaranteed
4) acknowledging that the company is insolvent, puts any director at personal risk if they continue to trade whilst knowing this. So voluntary liquidation protects the directors, hence the advice
5) it is the AIM listing that that has been cancelled, not the shares. This is a good thing for existing shareholders, as there will be bun fight over the shares, and the constant derampers can now toddle off because there will be no opportunity to buy back in
If a sale can be achieved at somewhere approaching fair value, then there will be value for existing shareholders. The realist in me appreciates how big that “if” is, but that fat lady ain’t singing yet (although she may have left her chair)
I’m waiting matey. I hope you’re right. Always had my glass half full
No comments, positive or negative, for 48 hours……… have I missed some news ?
Yay, we made it lol
And from this base 728 tonnes required per month to achieve yearly guidance. And whilst we lost 1 day to planned maintenance, another day and a quarter did not produce so this 30 figure could have been higher with 100% mill usage
That’ll do it. 624 tonnes and 2% achieved. Market reaction will be interesting as always. GLA
Bored with the supposition!!!!!!!!
Since 26/5 to 27/6 total shares traded 23,790,000. Assuming over such a long period, buys will largely match sales (because that's the way markets work) therefore 50% of these trades will be sales. Therefore sales were 11,895,000.
At the last TR1 K2 owned 4,762,046 shares. This number represents 40% of the shares sold since the TR1, so it is conceivable that K2 could be out. If you take DJRyan's assertion that a third of sales since the TR1 were K2 then they still own c.800k. Take your pick, but the absolute truth is none of us know how many they have sold, nor what their strategy is.
My twopenneth is that they are out, as I could get a quote to sell 200k shares prior to the 250k buy, and subsequently quotes for 100k have been routinely available, yet recent days when there have been other sellers (possibly K2) in the market, quotes for 10k sales have been problematic
My view is that K2's own internal investment rules only allowed them to invest in RMM all the time they had a market cap in excess of £50m. As soon as it dropped they had no choice to sell, despite the lack of economic sense that makes. What people seem to forget is that K2 is a huge fund, and the £5m they invested was tantamount to petty cash in their world. Our PI investment rules (whatever strategy you use) don't apply
Well said G_G_G. Excellent summation based on the facts as we know them. Not wishful thinking like TSSZ and Multiblagger, whose writing style is remarkably similar by the way...... I'll leave that for you all to ponder.
This sp looks like it will only move on the production of good mining results. Fingers crossed for when we get these next week. GLALTH
Prof, you are totally correct, I was merely trying to dampen the over enthusiasm, of him being in a lesser position than many LTH, at the moment. However now the spectre of options has been raised the dilutioners' will have a field day. LOL.
I am pleased he has "skin" in the game, above and beyond his options, and it fills me with faith that he has that level of confidence :-)
"The director now has a total of 696,270 shares ,
That’s very impressive to me"
I'll be happy, like some others here, when he owns more than me. It's positive , but not earthshattering. £50k invested would have registered more excitement for me.
MB, you are so full of your own self importance, you lie, ramp mislead constantly, yet as soon as someone points this out, you change your argument, and then claim that all detractors are one and the same troll. Not once have Antharry, Leathal nor myself have deramped. We have only ever tried to take the edge off your extreme misinterpretations of facts that you mis-report to suit your ramping narrative. All LTH are fully aware how undervalued RMM is and do not need hourly reminders of your ****. People say that to progress we need more PI's to invest. Well if you think your constant ramping will achieve that you are more deluded than our dear chicken friend
*safety - damn autocorrect
Shocking that the safe award hasn't moved the SP.
Perhaps it was already "priced in"
;-)
Unfortunately not, as my parents are nearly 90, they dispensed with pocket money over 45 years.
On the other hand I am so bo11ock deep (0.5%) I have no more spare cash to invest at these giveaway prices. The saving grace is that the current sell price offered is above my average :-)
My major point was that all this repeated spouting that its K2 unloading, is total guesswork until a TR1 appears.
Not one of the posters blaming K2 for keeping the sp deflated can explain why a fund that invested a relatively short time ago at 35p is selling at less than 30p.
IMO the reason K2 sold shares in March to take their holding to a very small fraction under 4%,was more an internal requirement predicated by their own investment strategy and rules. Otherwise why would they sell at a loss? Again this is all guesswork by myself. All IMO, DYOR...... GLA genuine holders
......someone is spending their pocket money!
Thank you Zappy. I think I've gone on enough about who and what piqued my angst.
Let's hope the company can start backing its rhetoric with some solid consistent numbers. I personally don't think the sp will move much on the gold assay's or the mineral resource update, but would be very happy if I'm wrong. I think we need to post production figures north of 600 tonnes for April to get this juggernaut moving, then hopefully it'll be as difficult to stop as an oil tanker going at full speed :-)
Well said Strummer. The potential here is massive, if you believe the story. I do. I've learnt more about mining than I ever thought I'd need to know. I've learnt a lot about investing from many on here, yourself included. Your calm words when the company is weathering storms I find quite reassuring (lets hope we aren't both investing lunatics!.) I too own more than 0.5% of the company, so if I occasionally lose patience with individuals I apologise, but I do wish the rampers and derampers, and those with hidden agenda's would just do one.
My only agenda is the wish that honesty prevails (perhaps I am a lunatic ;-) ), but I fear human nature will detract from that
