Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
No sign of 'the seller' this morning as yet - probably still lurking somewhere, perhaps crawling stealthily through a ventilation shaft, or maybe lying low in a remote abandoned farmhouse.
Tenth of a penny for each share owned, so £1000 on 1M shares is correct. There are two dividends a year, this is only one of them.
I've come to the conclusion that there is one person allocated to each share discussion board that is there to perpetually counter any positive rationale. It happens all over these LSE forums and goes far beyond having an alternative view point or stance. Perhaps they are volunteers - after all, it appears like some type of vocation for them - especially as most of these individuals claim to not be invested. I do find it quite bizarre and hope that one day someone does a psychology research project on it.
Me and my consortium* are also holding at the moment, having finished a recent accumulation phase.
*The group consists of me and the kids - one of them is only three so he hasn't made any executive decisions as yet.
I'd like to see someone pay more than 12p now...
Whatever is achieved:
With 1B shares in issue, for every 10M added to cash reserves ( and completely excluding everything else ) should add 1p to the share price. Is my maths correct?
Trades are bizarre at the moment - buys incrementing 1 at a time????
Never seen anything like it!

I have no idea how much impact the shorting has / does but one thing to take into consideration is not simply the total number of shares in existence vs the number of shares on loan - a more useful figure would be how many were sold on the market in any given day vs the average volume of trades.
Top post SAS - the following is what I've thought about a bit:
"Even though Tom Palmer has stated that at present Telfer/Havieron doesn’t meet Newmonts targets of being a 500,000 oz, ten year mine life, who’s to say in another few years it won’t be ? "
The whole basis of drawing a line at a particular size and throwing everything away is just too basic. You surely have to include those that have the trajectory and potential to meet the criterea too....
"What has some random ggp stock got to do with this?"
You miss my point entirely. I've told you that I follow those stocks.
I'm talking about FUD, and those stocks were also the end of the world to invest in a month ago.
Now all the posters that said that have disappeared.
The stocks I mention are not related to anything, they are examples for my point.
I won't be posting for a bit (on TM1) as I've said my piece - I can see no one 'ramping', in fact most of the positive people on here have been at great lengths to acknowleged that there is still a way to go and nothing is certain.
Jeez.
PS
I follow GGP - a month ago there were posters screaming 'avoid/sell' at it - it's up 78% in a month
I follow UFO - a month ago there were posters screaming 'avoid/sell at it - it's up 61% in a month
I feel sorry for those that sold at what could turn out to be the bottom.
" If I can't immediately see how the operations I'm funding will throw off cash that directly comes to me as a shareholder, it's an immediate avoid"
It doesn't seem to help you avoid commenting on the BB about it. Also, it sounds like you need to look more on the FTSE 100 markets for your investments as there are not many companies down here at the lower ends of the markets throwing off cash.
"I think the FCA is already looking very closely at this"
Yes, because they have to go the FCA, so I would expect them to look closely at it:
[...The Company is progressing with the Financial Conduct Authority ("FCA")...]
The whole reason many people are on here is risk reward. They have done their homework and feel the risk is worth it.
You have done your homework and feel like the risk isn't worth it.
I really don't know what else there is to say.
As has been pointed out
Every day at this $ - SHG are raking it in already. The above $2090 would be special dividend territory!
Finally the rise they've been waiting for?
Strangely the usually prolific posters Loftmonkey, Fred Dobbs and ItsOutHere haven't posted for at least a fortnight.
I suppose it's understandable as the run up to Christmas is a busy period for us all.
I saw his messages when I looked at LSE when I wasn't logged in.
Looking at his posting history it looks like he's been stung a few times a while back on some investments.
I believe he's been physologically projecting ever since, calling people mugs and idiots rather than admitting to or dealing with the unwanted feelings of failure.
My own research has TM1 down as extremely promising. As others have alluded to, nothing is guaranteed - especially on these smaller markets. But along side some safer traditional investments, trying to find a couple of gems on AIM or wherever can be extremely rewarding. I'm building a decent position here ( amongst others) over time, and the next few months could be company making.
BigPlan, while your points are valid, my take is that we have got through a very risky period and come out the other end with a chance to get some official results. Just yesterday it wasn't even certain they'd get the drill back out safely.
So I'm taking the huge positive from this one.
Dam!
