Last month, Lloyds (LSE: LLOY) raised its annual dividend by around 20%. The bank’s dividend yield is now over 5%, which for a FTSE 100 share like this I find attractive.

But might the dividend increases keep coming at the same level? After all, Lloyds is generating plenty of spare cash and the dividend is amply covered. It has not even returned yet to its pre-pandemic level.

If the Lloyds dividend keeps rising at its current rate, then after a decade it would be almost 15p per share (still, by the way, way less than half of what it was before the 2007 financial crisis). With Lloyds shares currently selling for less than 50p each, that would mean my prospective yield today would be 31%, making the shares a long-term goldmine.

March 27 (Reuters) - British Airways has reduced its flight schedule due to planned strikes by London Heathrow airport employees during the Easter holiday weekend, the airline said on Monday.

"Following Heathrow's requirement for us to reduce the number of passengers travelling during the period of its employees' proposed strike action, we've regrettably had to make a small number of adjustments to our schedule,"

The statement followed a BBC report that said the airline was looking to cancel 32 flights a day to and from London's Heathrow Airport from March 31, the start of the Easter holidays.

Heathrow has announced contingency plans to keep the airport operating despite a 10-day strike by security guards.

Members of the Unite union will walk out on Friday in a dispute over pay.

A Heathrow spokesman said: “We will not let these unnecessary strikes impact the hard-earned holidays of our passengers.

“Our contingency plans will keep the airport operating as normal throughout.

“We are deploying 1,000 additional colleagues and the entire management team, who will be in the terminals providing assistance to passengers over the busy Easter getaway.

“As at any busy time, it may take a little longer than usual to get through security, but this will be well-managed and kept flowing.

“Passengers can help us ensure they get the best start to their journeys by checking their flight status with their airline before travelling to the airport, arriving at Heathrow no earlier than two hours before short-haul flights and three hours before long-haul flights, and by being ready for security with their compliant liquids and electronics out of their hand luggage.”

The hole airport voted and only T5 got the vote and that will be flooded with contract security staff the numbers are so low as the staff have nothing to gain by going out so no disruption for flights over Easter getaway
