SO what is it? Is the vaccine 95% effective at preventing the disease (as the science times seem to indicate) or 95 effective at preventing serious illness as the FDA says (The FDA’s own analysis of Moderna’s data confirmed the company’s claim that the vaccine was 94.5% effective at preventing severe disease 14 days after the second dose. The data submitted by Moderna looked only at cases of Covid-19 that exhibited symptoms and found that the vaccine was effective at reducing cases of Covid-19 with severe symptoms.). Seems like there is a lot of disinformation around coming from official sources.

Bruce RNA works alongside DNA "DNA is a storage device, a biological flash drive that allows the blueprint of life to be passed between generations2. RNA functions as the reader that decodes this flash drive." So YES, it is possible that it could afffect fertiility/
Hanyma, herewith an update of the side effects "Participants in Moderna and Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine trials told CNBC
in September that they were experiencing high fever, body aches, bad
headaches, daylong exhaustion and other symptoms after receiving the
shots."
So are these people going to be excluded from society? Will they be required to wear a sign to show their status, just as people in the past had to war the Star of David? Democracy is potentially going down a very scary road.
Bruce, so you don't think that vaccination certificates are going to alienate, the vulnerable, who for what ever reason cannot take the vaccine. So much for caring for the vulnerable!!!!
Lots of reports show asymptomatics are not the spreaders. Such as :
"Crucial Quote
Cevik said: “The findings are in line with contact tracing studies which suggest the majority of viral transmission events occur very early, and especially within the first five days after symptom onset, indicating the importance of self-isolation immediately after symptoms start.” He urged the need to raise awareness about Covid-19 symptoms, which include loss of smell and taste, a high temperature and a new, continuous cough, so that individuals can be aware and self-isolate."
So if you have symptoms, STAY AT HOME!
But like any good first aider will tell you, you need to assess the situation and ensure your own safety before helping others. How many people are ruining their own health during the lock down, neglecting exercise, overeating and drinking, etc. Pretty soon everybody will join the ranks of the at risk. Surely, we should be looking to raise the bar, rather than reduce everybody to the lowest common demoninator.
HarChris. I am not anti vaccine, but do I really want to get injected with a rushed vaccine, that will only reduce my chance of getting Covid from 20% to 10%. I think I can get a better result by taking care of my natural immune system.
Interesting results, but is not the current situation that only only 20% of people catch covid, so whilst reducing this to 10% is good, but is it 90% effective? By my math it is a 50% reduction in those who will catch it, or around (let's be generous) a 15% improvement on the natural immune system.
