Expecting to pick up a prize like HE1 for anything less than 500m -750m, and I suspect that in that range it would still be thought cheap considering the potential rewards here, and even at that price we would be talking 10p to 20p per share.

Most names on this bb have been around for a while and will have seen this behaviour/tactic from the mm’s many times. Sit on your hands and let them play it out because in this particular case you have to be confident in your investment, so all that is required is patience.

Whatever Neil is doing, good luck to him. If we are all honest Neil's only loyalty is to Neil and his own portfolio. He comes across as a reasonably personable character, but no one should expect him to handy-hold any of us and whether he holds, sells or buys more is completely his decision.

If, as we all hope/expect (?) a good result here, would it make sense to then invest some of the gain into Noble on the ASX, since they are adjacent to us and may duplicate the success we may have here?

Basil, I believe that Linde also own a prospect license for part of the Rukwa Basin, so they are 'on the ground in the area' so to speak and know exactly what is going on there.

Valid observations, the volatility provides derampers with the ammunition to begin the process of undermining peoples hopes by beginning the insidious process of instilling doubt into the minds of hopeful investors.

In turn the positive investors cannot resist the urge to push back since the object of their investment (and their own belief) is being attacked. It is a sad indictment on the state of the human race that people will descend to this level simply to feel that they have 'got one over' on someone else.

Craignews, the episode was a life-saver for some who got previously caught in the Desire Petroleum nonsense when they announced on a Friday that they had struck oil, you can imagine the celebrations started immediately..... and then they ran out a second RNS correcting the first one by saying "Ooopps! It wasn't oil, it was water".

The bottom dropped out of the sp and the scale as the error was realised, many got badly stung on that one.

With Rockhopper the mm’s dropped the sp from about 48p to 15p in seconds, cleared out all stop-losses and then raced it into the £’s. It happened so fast that very few people were able to take advantage of the rise initially, and by the time they became aware of the movement and potential they had to pay over £1- £2 to get in. The main beneficiaries were those who were holding early, 11p to 20p and prepared to let it ride the rush upwards, and some (!) sold out above £4.50 a share
