The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
This is obviously a distressing event for all but I do not think these sales are the result of any unpublished knowledge about SDX.Only facts will affect the long term price range and these should be available shortly.
However I have informed the BOD that they ought to make a statement about today's share price fall
Maestro, everything you say is in the public domain and the current share price accounts for that.It is facts which will move the price in future not your gloom and doom scenario.Soon we will have some facts to digest so lets wait for that RNS.
You are suggesting that Aleph wish to take control and you may be right but that shows that they think SDX has a good future so you are in a bit of a contradiction
Maestro we are not idiots.Anyone who spends time commenting on the fortunes of a tiny company is either a shareholder or has some another agenda. Therefore you have another agenda. You are very negative on SDX therefore you want to see the shares fall to suit your purpose.I have seen this in other cases, particularly Hurricane Energy and you are obvious. You mention Aleph as p ossible predator and you may be right but even with 25% of the shares they are in no position of control. You do not comment on the net assets of SDX which appear to be well above the current share price. If they want a take over they will have to pay much more than 5p
Maestro, you seem to be a recent SDX poster and have obviously done a bit of homework. As you are negative on this share I assume you are not a current shareholder. In that case why are you so interested in such a tiny company ?
Well we shall see shortly. But remember there are multiple bidders and this is not a fire sale.I imagine there is a reasonable amount of cash which they have not yet been able to access which is part of the reason for the Aleph loan.Whilst the largest group investor they are not big enough to dominate. Also the net asset value was around 20p at end of 2022,even after the writedowns
I am not sure but maybe it is possible to calculate book value from the accounts but I am sure these were written down as much as possible in 2022 accounts. All new BODs do that to pin the blame on previous and management and take credit for future improvements.
However despite the frustration about lack of news I am sure BOD are evaluating the different offers received and in view of the time being that has passed these offers are serious bids
